New Grower Watering?

I read that 20% runoff is desired in soil grow. My pots are 3 gal fabric pots.
I've put about an inch and a half of perlitite on the bottom of the pot and filled the rest with a 50/50 mix of Happy Frog and Ocean Forest.

Here's the thing. Water seems to drain out fairly quickly however if I go for a 20% runoff they seem to get droopy as if overwatered.
I should have mixed in perlite with the soil? 25%?

I'm using the recommended dosage of nutes from Grow More.

Should I be watering with plain water every other watering? My Autoflower girls are at 5 weeks now and flowers are coming on strong.

You definitely should have mixed the perlite with the soil. How far along are your plants?

They are at about 5 weeks and budding like crazy.

To keep water from draining to fast it is better to water in two or three steps a little at a time than wait awhile and water some more.This will give the soil time to absorb water and keep it from running through the pot to fast.If you are watering a lot feeding every other water is fine.
