Hi all,

I'm new to here and new to this type of growing, as a novice watering can be tricky especially at young age.

My tip on watering in the first few weeks is to count out loud as you water.

I've young plants 8 days old, can gauge roughly how much water they will need and using my 2ltr watering can, will count out loud to about 12 while watering and stop, along with a regular water schedule (approx 12 hours apart) I get consistency.

Hopes this helps any new growers out there

To add: I use 3-4 cups of water and moisten in a circle around the plant to make the roots search for water and nutrients. Strong roots = strong plant :)

Nice one, yes I try to water in a 10cm (4") diameter around the plant,
Your cup solution easy fix too.

Side note, think important to try not soak foliage to much to avoid water droplet lensing burning leaf :))

Yup, 4" around is good! If your foiler spraying, do it just after lights out, or just prior to lights on ;)

An
Foliar spraying water ? Or nutrients added foliar spray?

Any of if it is suitable for a foiler spray. :)

As you had mentioned you dont want lensing to happen, so do the spray when lights are off. It will give a chance for the leaves to absorb it.

I preferably don't like watering before lights off, sitting in wet soil for 4 hours.

Get what your saying, prefer to water by soil, if spraying for humidity understand.

Ok I get that spraying feed and absorption when lights out, do peeps on here use foliar feeding sprays?

I was talking about two seperate feedings, soil I like to do in the am. (Or multiple times with a seedling when the soil drys)

I dont know how many here foiler spray tbh. I never have, but I may try on a plant or two to see how much it improves.

You say feeding when seedlings, when will you start feed for autos, I'm currently on day 8 since leaf pop ?

Yes not read much about foliar sprays
