Lighting wanted to upgrade to MH.. advice needed

Hey all.. I have a small cab micro grow.. I'm using a t5 96 watt total 4 bulb fixture.. attached is pic of grow space..the long silver box thing between the two plants is an ac vent.. so I do have ac running into the cab.. temps stay between 74 to 80 with lights on.. I have a pair of 175 watt mh ballasts.. and two really small reflectors..(bulbs are double ended halides).. I wanted to take the ballast.. get a mogul socket.. and place it into a cool tube and use my 4 in velocity fan to vent the space and vent the cool tube... I was curious.. 1 mh should be ok?.. I'm not sure if it running two 175w mh in one cool tube, if I can get the temps that are needed .. I could add another pc 120 mm fan and carbon filter to vent/move more air through it..my goal is to use a mh.(6500k) for veg.. and get a hps conversion bulb for flowering..any thoughts, knowledge would be great... also.. can I run a 150w mh on a 175w ballast.. without issues?.. the 150s are easier to find locally, for growing.. double ended mh in a grow spectrum seem to be a little more difficult to find... thanks again..

Welcome to AFN Molegrower....:tiphat: that's ok for veg not sure if you should use the smaller bulb in that ballast it'll just burn it out twice as fast ,don't be fooled because it may work in that ballast it not working properly ..i'd get the right bulb if i was you ..also when you get a chance stop over to the intro section Introduction

Thank's for the quick response!... I might just leave the t5 fixture of it... I hear the better lightning.. the better bud.. not as airy sp to speak... plus I have three autos going.. and that fixture doesn't cover all three plants... I have to use cfls for my seedly... this is my Dark Devil..then my Auto seeds Candy Kush... pics today on those two.... these two will be 5 weeks tomorrow..tomorrow my Ministry of Cannabis Silver Bullet will be a week old. .first grow btw... (ill go over and introduce myself as well)..I just would hate to do an injustice as what these things can do/produce... it's strictly for personal use...the last three weeks they have been running under the t5s.. before that was cfls... How do you think they look? Thanks again!

If your growing autos a hps is all you really need.

I have some photos too.. so just wait and get the HPS system.. 150w be ok? Or 250w

I'd go HPS over MH too, cost should be about equal. You also could consider LED for that space.

I thought about led.. just wow.. the price on those.. I have a panel(from a saltwater tank set up) 2x2.. would fit perfect.. just not sure if the colors are right.. or adjust then correctly.. it's a 180w panel.. has three knobs on top to adjust the intensity.. one knob controls the blue leds... ill put up s pic.. maybe I could use it.. worked on my corals in my tank.. lol

Edit.. I.also already have ballasts for the MH, abd everything else.. except correct bulb spectrum..mine are 14000k.. I need 6500k.. about 20 bucks, and a 3000k same
