Welcome @Blue61. Like me, you may have heard rumors that you're not supposed to top autos. I now know differently and I have this thread to thank for it. Have a look and maybe it'll help you make the most of your new venture. Folks here are very nice and and very knowledgeable so make yourself at home and enjoy the ride!

Nutes for autoflowers should begin at or near 1/4 of the published amount. Autos are notorious for burning easily.

@Blue61 Welcome to AFN :welcome:. I grow both Autos and Photos. If I were to generalize on differences; I would say they need a little less light intensity (lower DLI) and a little less nutrients. Less nutes is really strain dependent as I have had autos that liked it at 1100 PPM average is ~700 PPM.

Thanks for the reply. I had heard autos don't like there nutes much but my seedlings look like they could use some cal/mag.Do they like that like photos do. I am growing some white widow and super skunk by the way.Have to admit its been a while since cracking beans and not using clone...lol.

I have found the pheno specific nutrient needs vary just like a photo so just use your eyes to determine needs.
