No the bill will federally de-schedule marijuana and call for release of all federal prisoners for simple possession and sealing of records - It will not address any state laws ...... Just removing from a schedule one to schedule whatever will help but a question in my mind regarding state laws is:

Are any state laws written based on federal law and would they be deemed void - written such as: “Per Federal Law Marijuana is a Schedule One Drug, thus, under the State of Wherever Law, Marijuana is a Schedule One Drug making its possession here in Whatever State a Felony.

The House Judiciary Committee said on Monday that the panel will mark up legislation introduced by Chairman Jerrold Nadler (D-NY), which would federally deschedule cannabis and address social equity, on Wednesday at 10:00 AM ET. The announcement confirms what sources familiar with the planned development told Marijuana Moment last week.

Thanks for the info trying not to get my hopes up but still feeling good about having a chance for passage. I know a lot of people who turn to opiates because of the fact that they only stay for aprox. 4 days in their system and are worried about flunking a drug test with cannabis. Then the opiates grab and don't let go. I can think of so many positives with passage.
