Outdoor UK summer back yard grow

Thrips ! Bloody thrips and leaf hoppers !!! What can I do folks ? Has anyone used this and had success? I'm trying to stay as pesticide free as possible and this seems like an ideal *slightly more* natural alternative? The thrips are doing a fair bit of damage to the blue dream'matic as I've noticed twisted new growth and the peyote is covered in leaf hopper damage. Any other ideas what to do ?View attachment 940290

Hi there,

Seems to be more a preventative measure...

As @Rolling_along suggests Neem oil seems to be the answer.

Plenty on fleabay And not too expensive

Thanks guys ! I've moved both the younger 2 out of the greenhouse and removed more infested leaves and surprisingly it seems to have helped loads ! Just a quick update :) not had much time to come online as it's the summer holidays and life is hectic... All the girls are staying outdoors til finish now !

11 weeks on Thursday for G ! She's thickening up nicely ! Maybe 2 or 3 weeks to go ?

Peyote been moved outside for good now. Shes around 9 weeks old. She'llget less direct sunlight here but she was getting a bit of top leaf tip burn in the greenhouse. She's so beautiful ! Got a couple of cuttings which are doing well too.

Happy growing folks :)

Looking good @Gardengirl

I love the garden backdrop in the pics. Wish I could get away with populating my patio with multiple strains. No chance of me being able to do that though.

You'll certainly be reaping the rewards in the coming months... :smoking:

All the best.

I've used a drop of vegetable oil & a drop of fairy liquid in a sprayer with water before for thrips & critters. It seemed to work pretty well and pretty much free as is usual household shit  garden looks great by the way
