Show Grows 2023 Twenty20 Mendocino Spring 2023 Grow & Show

Scoped the trichomes on the bubble tricks this morning. Day 68. Seeing some amber, cloudy and clear. But damn she’s frosty. I believe the bubbawhip and tricks are both indica dominants. So I’ll let her amber up a bit more. At least another week, maybe two.

From what I've seen so far, I think they're gonna hit their mark for hash plant. Very frosty and very sticky!

I'm impressed with what you guys are posting at sub 70 days. T20 really bringing that speed with these strains, and still nice full looking plants too!
We've really been working hard at breeding out anything that pushes much past 80 days. Basically we are selecting out the slower phenos and keeping the fast receivers and donors.

Day 74 Double Bubble and Bubble Tricks

Bubble Tricks
is finished but I'm letting her go as long as it takes Double Bubble to finish up, another week or so. I don't do trich micro lens shots for myself as i go by age and looks of the plant, my method seems to get me medicated just fine but i'll try and remember to take some trich shots for the grow and show during harvest pics.

I'm loving the colors in deep flower and the smell is amazing hard to guess all the smells but fruity the most powerful along with just plain weed smell as my dad says lol Double Bubble is bulking up more than i thought and should yield some nice big nugs like her sister's strain.

I become lazy and stopped giving them megacrop last res fill up (yesterday) and just ph'ing tap water for them now, i don't think they need anymore food at this point anyways.

I don't really get the orgy pot grow style. I guess I could see it for non fem seeds but not for fem autos and definitly not for a would be monster plant. But they are your seeds so have at it. This is my Bubble Tricks in a 5 gal Rain Science bag. I only have 2 plants in a 3'x3' and couldn't even imagine cramming 3 or 4 in there.

Your plants are budding up nicely!

From my experience, orgy style yields more and is easier for me to let bigger plants lean on each other for support, when i do solo pot plants i have to use bamboo sticks and wires/nets to keep the plant from having heavy buds that fall down. Having space is key and knowing how many seeds you can get away with with each pot size, 1gallon to 10gallon pots.

In this grow and show my Double Bubble is a single pot plant while Bubble Tricks is 3 plants in the pot and i think I'll double the yield vs Double Bubble only because 3 plants vs 1 plant in 5gallon pots. 1 of the 3 Bubble Tricks was a smaller less yielding pheno, its the plant with yellowing on its leafs circled in the pic below. That plant is small and the 2 monsters didn't treat her very well sharing the pot with that pheno, i normally would yank it early on in the grow but i wanted to show @Twenty20 Adam all the phenos we ended up with just for science and stuff.

This is Bubble Tricks, 3 plants in the pot. I circled the pheno i'm talking about above.

Another good reason to orgy style with fem seeds is selective culling of the smaller plants and keeping the best plants. I start off each pot with 5-10 seeds regardless of pot size and pluck the runts when a runt shows itself.

My methods like bottom feeding my plants in promix not coco and orgy style pots are just methods that work very well for me after trying many grow styles this is where i stopped shop at and started making it my own.

Both of my ph pens are wrong and I'm not sure how long they have been wrong, they both were reading near each other so i thought they were good. I ordered a new pen and after calibrating it i found my res was 3.8-4.0 ph when i thought it was 5.8-6 ph. :yoinks:

I just corrected the ph in the res even tho this is the end of the grow I'm sure this had some negative side effects for my plants as i think this was going on for 2 weeks or so

I was wondering why i was needing so much ph down and why my tap was 8.4 when its suppose to be 7-7.5

I think I'm going to order that bluelab ph pen and some storage solution so i can be more on my game. i seem to only get 1 year out of the $9 amazon ph pens so maybe $90 on a 2 year bluelab pen is worth it??

Sounds like me...blue lab I went with the Apera ph60 and it tells you when it needs calibration...I don't think bluelab does I could be wrong...and it comes with a nice kit....for cleaning and calibration solutions....I bought a extra cleaner but you'll save money for a good ph pen....

Bluelabs pens also tells you when to calibrate they both sound like good ph pens

@InkAddict$ I ended up buying the ph60, i almost went with the pc60 for the all in 1 pen but nah i have plenty of good ppm pens and i know how much megacrop to use after 2 years of using it, ph is the only thing i can't get used to, always changing it seems.

Good choice...
