Turning a shoddy shed into a groovy ganja growroom

Just a brief update ...
I've finished all the internal stud-work on the walls .. needed for stapling the Airtec sheeting over the Kingspan insulation ... a double layer!

I'm putting 50mm Kingspan or Celotex up first, using the stud-work to break it into manageable chunks that can be easily removed if necessary, and have something to staple into:

.. then stapling this stuff over the top:

It's around $400 a roll in the US ... I grabbed some for $50 ...!!
A clearance sale, and I got the last one, so it was meant to be. Enough to do the whole shed.

It's got the thermal-retention properties of another 50mm of polystyrene without the bulk ... and it's reflective.
Not shiny-reflective likely to cause heat-spots ... more like the 'dull' side of Bacofoil, which I think should be perfect.
Any problems, and I'll just have to go and buy me some Mylar as well..!

I'm in the waiting-room right now. I want to crack-on, but I need the shed for drying some soon-to-be-harvested bud, so I don't want to start spraying anti-fungicide all over the place just yet.

@pop22 .. thanks dude, always feel welcome to chip-in ... pardon the carpentry pun..!

Hey, Uncle Derek ... @derek420colorado ... you've gone all quiet. C'mon, get jiggy!
I wanna know how your Aircraft-Hanger-Sized shed is coming along?

You gotta be in it to win it!

I've re-jigged my plans to accommodate more fans and a recently-purchased de-humidifier ...

And added some electrical connectivity ...

I'm getting twitchy, can you tell? I wanna start plugging shit in ... now!

Bud in a Hurry :chimp:

Dude, that is some design!
Very intelligent!

And if cannabis growing was as legal in the UK as it is in Colorado, I'd have a shed and a greenhouse the size of Denver in my yard, with inverted radio-telescope technology focusing all the sun's rays on my weed plot alone.
Hawaii would see snow for the first time!

Hahahahahaha!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks @Maria Sanchez ... my first indoor setup, I've spent the best part of a year obsessively buried in books and watching how-to vids.
I'm a 'jump-in-with-both-feet' type of person, but I do look to see what I'm jumping into first..!

I guess it's gonna be a watch-this-space affair ...

Edit: Getting it all to work harmoniously will be the hard part!

Right, shed's NOT dead.
It's now empty of drying buds and ready for phase 2.
Or is that 3?

I lose count after one.

A good spray this week with anti-fucking-everything and then we're into Insulation Week ... November 7th - 11th.

I'm aiming to become a pest on the LED forums soon ...

I have shed envy - no seriously - what a project. Your CO2 in old gas (or any plastic piping) is fine btw it's pretty inert - there are only problems in metal pipes and that's normally due to water vapour getting into the system and condensing causing corrosion over time or freezing.

I was going to mention do a thorough check for woodworm and give everything a quick anti fungicide before you turn it into a toastie incubator but it looks like you're on that case already.

The only other bit of advice I could have given is re security - locks obviously - but if there is a possibility of unwelcome people approaching the shed you can retro-rig one of the common garage type floodlights fitted with a PIR so that when anyone approaches the shed it flips everything OFF - (there are other types of devices inc WiFi things from Maplin that will do the same job - all it's really doing is flipping a master contacter to kill off lights and those noisy fans if anyone gets nosy....

Shed envy...fff...

I guess none of these are concerns and the rest off us can but reach for the bong and weep at the opportunities before you.

I have two great sheds but no power - so until photo voltaic panels can supply enough juice to power the next gen LEDs...

Happy shedding :D

@SpliffScot ... thanks dude, advice is most welcome, I'm already in uncharted waters..!
Security isn't an issue, plus I have a master switch up in the flat for all the power to the shed, just in case.

I won't be using CO2 for a while, maybe next year or the year after ... I need to get jiggy with growing indoors first, I'm still in nappies in that department.
I've got AirPots to try, potting mixes to play with and new lights to get my head around before even considering ramping it all up with gas.

Right, I'm off to buy a garden pump-sprayer ... my pal dropped me some anti-fungal stuff off this morning.

I recommend HozeLock << at least you can buy spares - we use several at the allotment.
