Trying out beans from Hush Seeds and a Private Breeder all from Autobeanstalk.com

That is a beautiful plant Hushseed. Upon your advice I pulled my germ cup and you were right the roots, though a lot had grown under the cup bottom, they were thick in a circular pattern around the cup. I think it is a trade off because it is such an easy way to germinate for a newbie and it is easier if they stay a little shorter bc I am indoors. Regardless, you have given me a lot to think about for my next grow and I appreciate that. Again, that is a beautiful plant and it sounds like you live in a beautiful place to grow.

I make a hole in my soil with a cup and fill the hole with my seed starter mix. just a thought.

Beautiful plants hush. Heres to hoping all your other ones are females 1guy. Have you thought about planting the other seeds, just in case the other ones end up being males as well?

I will do that next time for sure. I was thinking tonight, that I would build a mound of starter soil but now I am thinking digging a hole a few inches deep then mounding it up a little might be the best way to go. I appreciate you guys.

Some sad news. It is looking my only other Royal Diesel is a male. On the good news front it looks like both my Hushseed's Double Funs are going to be female and two of the three of my private breeder diesel ryders are female. I should know for sure in the next few days. I am bummed about the Royal Diesels. I planted three and one did not sprout (all my fault) and the other two are males. I am pissed because I probably screwed up the one female.

Oh woe is me, I guess I will have to go smoke some of the super smooth nirvana blue mystic from my last grow that has been curing for over a month now. I am so glad I stumbled across this site. I admit that I have been drinking tonight, but I love you guys. 25 years of running out and chasing down 1/4ozs of shit Mexican weed and now well, you know.

Well, I am happy to hear about the remainder females 1guy, not a bad trade off at all :)

Here's what I want to tell you:

The seeds you got do not need any kind of special starter soil.

These plants have always been sown directly to organic soil with an extreme high EC reading. (Mostly EC 5.0 Ms, Which is as high as it gets)

After doing this for 10+ years in a row, now pretty much all seed can be sown to very strong soil and without negative consequences.

They actually are designed putting it to their advantage.

I always kept the EC deliberatly high, using plenty of woodash and chalk on an organic, acidic peat/dung based medium.

In my line of work, I would always dung my plots in outdoors real well in early automn, have it 'sit' over winter, plow it all down in spring, and sow out the seeds straight to soil and without any pre-growing.

Hence you'll understand that I needed a kind of seed that could actually handle all these ferts without complaints, and so they have been bred to withstand strong soil right from the start.

It is a sausage fest in my grow room. It looks like of the nine beans that I dropped three will be female. This is my first grow with regular seeds so if anyone thinks the pics below maybe female let me know. Besides that everybody looks healthy and is growing. I have grown 3 different breeder's gear now and I have been lucky in my choices. These Hush Seeds seem to be as strong as any that I have seen.

I could not enlarge the last picture.

Always when I tried I get to read this:

"You have no permission to perform this action. Please refresh the page and log in before trying again."

Following up on the giving advice does not seem to help.

Make sure to press, remember me on the top where the login is, and should work.

all male

I agree and I am bummed. All is not lost, the one double fun that I have left seems to have doubled in size the last few days. Also the two diesel Ryder's look great. I have heard the double fun is a potent bitch. I am really looking forward to her. The diesel Ryders I have heard are more of a day time smoke. For a guy like me I am in heaven.

I am worried that we afn peeps are not going to get the full extent of this gear from my grow because my male/female ratio was out of whack. Next time around we will be due to get a bunch of females and I am super excited about how they look so far. Someone needs to get some beans from autostalk.com and do a journal before the prices go up.

i won't be able to take pics until Sunday but they all look great.
