hey man thanks for stopping by. Yes I use hydroton at the bottom you can see it in the pictures on the first page I'm pretty much a hundred percent positive that I did not put too much Hydroton in the bottom that would prevent wicking. I believe my problem lies in the Peat that I amended in the coco and it compacted down on top of the air Dome creating almost a pressure seal. Air is going to take the path of least resistance which is down and it's coming up the tray.Just came across this......
Did you use clay pellets at the bottom of the pots ..... If so, that may explain no wicking action..... The clay pellets are useless and why they're recommended is..... One of those things....
Yanking the airline..... Rather than moving the airdome, I suspect you may have yanked the airline off the dome...... I would check that when you get access.....
.... but why the concern, the air dome is there to bubble away..... That's how I check system is working, the more bubbling the merrier
