I was thinking the same thing. If I can talk my friend into giving it a go I'd make sure we were growing different strains, and share it around!
I'm not including the cost of beans in my figures, I've ploughed more money than I can comfortably justify - so I'm ignoring it

Main Tent (4X Capacity):

Reflector Series 300W - (180W Actual with Vevg and Bloom on)
2X full spectrum 135W UFOs - (90W Actual - 180W total)

So, 360W total actual in the Main Tent...

Starter/Veg Tent (2X Capacity):

180W full spectrum UFO - (110W Actual)

They're all working really well. Pretty cheap too.

Germ update:

1 E.T. has broken the surface of the cube (the little 180º elbow prior to coming all the way out and deploying the cotyledons)

At total of three E.T.s visible as on the way up and out. Not signs from the Cheesus yet, I imagine it's just a matter of time.

So, so far so good!

I've been recruiting for the garden security force as well.

I prefer the jumpers over the wolfs.
Watch out though, I found a brown recluse the other day in the basement.
It's that time of year..

A little germination update:

Looks like I'm 4 for 4 on the E.T.s - 2 are in the tent and two are still on the wifi but I can see the "elbow" of the seedlings
getting closer to the top of the Root Riot cube. As per Ronin's instructions, I'll wait until the cotyledons have cleared the
surface to get them into the container of water in the starter tent.

On the Cheesus side, I have one taproot visible. Nothing visible from the top...but Ronin said one of his Cheesus took
5 days to pop so...patience mode on those...looks like it's working, just slower than the E.T.s

Okay, half way there....

4 E.T.s surfaced and off to preschool. (Starter Tent)
Now we just need those truant Cheesus punks to get out of bed. (taproot visible on one so far)

I know I said 3X per pot but I may just plant everything that germinates to give me a better chance
at a female. It'll be a little crowded if 4 per pot survive all the way to sexing, but I'd rather start
with too much and be able to pare down. Plus, I like boosting my chances.

Even though #1 and #2 went in the tent yesterday and #3 and #4 went today...for the sake of ease
we are going to call today, 11/09/14, Day one for the E.T.s
