Dragon Meds Trap's 2X Multipot - Cheesus & E.T. Dragons

No thanks necessary Trapper
You deserved a Slapper... two
I really admire and even envy you guys that build these cool stealthy cabs. The ultimate for me would be a real grow room! But that not being an option at this time or in the foreseeable future, I'd love to build a big ole custom grow cab a' la Noods... I just don't have the time to do it up right though. Kids, work, wifey,... Bla bla, anyway...
Nice job! :d5:
Also, your thread had me thinking about how awesome our forum is. See, I don't agree with all of the techniques and principles that you use. But that's cuz I'm me and I'm not you. There are also many reading your thread that completely agree with everything you're doing. Also others that are thinking, "WTF, dude? Why are you doing that?" Lots of different opinions. Lots of diverse thoughts that lead to questions and answers viewpoints with a buildup of information and knowledge... That's how it should be.

Not like you see on other forums where people get bashed right in the balls just for asking a question. Or someone disagreeing with a technique jumping down the OP's throat, "That don't work, you fuckweed!" We don't have that here and that's rare and pretty damn amazing, considering the wide varieties of people and cultures in the forum.

This friendly, helping attitude in our Open Source forum is such a help for our cause of .... doing what we do. LOL Knowledge is Power. We are very powerful here at AFN. We need to keep it that way. I was away from the forum for the longest time (and damn, did I miss it!), before jumping back in on the fun in September. One of the first things I realized is how this diversity in technique and principle had actually blended together in some areas! Forgive me, I seriously can't give you an example right now... LOL f'n stoner me.. But there were these things that I saw that were just so cool, where there used to be separation, but then it came together. Cuz it's all One Love. Simple as that.

This cool-headed diversity, building and spreading of knowledge, and the crazy powerful good vibes going out from medical growers and users is an important part of changes being made on this planet and Trapper, my brother, aren't you PROUD to be a part of it? I sure as f* am!

Already sub'd up to the Convoy my friend. Checkin that out is my plan for later on after I get done digging around in the dirt outside. I'll be checking out the other one as well.

Happy Trapping Grower! :RU Stoned..?:

Couldn't have said it better, Noods! So true, and I AM proud to be on this wave of kindness, support and a constant search to find ways to improve.

I will say, though, if you ever have an opinion that something I'm doing may be wrong or detrimental to my goals, I want you to share it with me...either
with a post or a PM. At the very least, it's information that I can use to hone my understanding.

Cheers brother Noods!

Oh, sorry for maybe accidentally setting a seed of doubt in your mind! That was not my intention. I'll make it short this time:
I use a different germination method and always get a chill down my spine when people write about handling little seeds with tap roots hanging out of them. I put my seeds right into their new home. Little soak in the pool, down in the dirt, reach for the sun... That's what I was talking about.

I certainly would tell you if you were doing something wrong, but only if I was secure in my knowledge. Your germination method is obviously not wrong, it's just different than mine and out of my comfort zone.

Sorry for the long-winded confusion! :Sharing One:

Hey man. Those are lookin nice man. Peculiar type of yellowing you got there..Actually looks pretty cool lol.
Love the set up to btw. Some awesome stuff. Very jealous of your stealthy grow.

:kusht::bump::Sharing One:

Thanks, Neko.

I have a big long post RE: that yellowing that I need to compose but I won't be able to do that until tonight...

Okay...about the yellowing.

I have enough data now, I think, to point out the culprit of the case of the awful, really bad yellowing veins/leaves.

First, the original theories:

Inter-veinal Chlorosis - (plants couldn't handle 24/0 light)
pH issues possible with 50/50 FFHF/Coco
Underfed
Overfed

- Now that I have plants in FFHF and 50/50 FFHF/Coco that are exhibiting the yellowing it isn't pH issue with 50/50

- Now that some plants from both soils exhibit yellowing under 24/0 (different genetics) and some don't AND all lights
have been on 24/0 for 3 or 4 weeks it isn't inter-veinal chlorosis is highly unlikely. (Different tents too)

The only thing that salvaged the Shiznit and the PA was having SledgeHammered them....this tells me it was something
in the soil that they did not like.

The plot thickens...

The ONLY singular thing that the effected, yellowing plants have in common....the single, solitary element is that they
all, in some form or fashion, have the Soil Secrets products in the soil...whether it be the Soil Secrets: Earth Ambrosia/Earth Nectar
Microbe Brew combo, or the Soil Secrets Mycos powder (Both contain the mycos)

So the:

Tha Shiznit
Auto Purple Amnesia - 50/50 FFHF/Coco
Mystery X that was culled - 50/50 FFHF/Coco
Auto Spanish Diesel that was culled (IIRC) - 50/50 FFHF/Coco
The E.T. Dragon seedlings - 100% FFHF
The Cheesus Dragon seedlings - 100% FFHF

Now...

The Tyrone Specials (Olsen Twins) are in the same environment in MOSTLY the same soil
BUT I used the last of my Great White in their soil batch and NO Soil Secrets Microbe Brew OR Soil Secrets: Mycos Powder...

And they have exhibited NO SIMILAR YELLOWING, whatsoever. (Some common fan tip death - but completely different and unrelated)

The lack of ANY Soil Secrets product and their specific genetics are the ONLY two differences between them and everything else.

Standard process of elimination dictates that either 6 completely different strains had a similar issue not pertaining to Soil Secrets
stuff and Mephisto gear didn't.

OR

There is some attribute of this Soil Secrets stuff that does not mesh with autos. I don't think the guy at the shop purposefully
duped me or is lying about the product when recommending it. I think his knowledge is specific to only photosensitive cannabis.
And that the stuff is in some way, bad for autos.

SO, GA6 and everyone, if this grow goes tits up...I apologize profusely and it's completely on me, not the gear or equipment.

I remember posting about the Shiz and PA that I wished I had SledgeHammered earlier as it had seemed to wipe the canvas
clean (or cleaner anyway) and given me the ability to "start over" and salvage them.

Along those lines, I ran about 1600mL of SledgeHammer through both Multipots today, in hope that I could flush out as much
of the offending elements as I could. We'll see how it goes.

Needless to say, the Soil Secrets stuff is resting at the bottom of the trash can.

Cheers & sorry if that was a convoluted post. It makes sense in my head... :)

You was right about the long post. Just funnin with ya man. It all makes sense to me. Hope things get cleared up for you man.

Next time I put sprouts into my clonebox, and when I take the seedlings out, I'll take pics that will terrify you then.....LOL! Never damaged one yet, nor affected their growth. Clean hands and a gentle touch is all you need.

Maybe you just got a bad batch of nutes. Like anything else, it can happen, and how many people would even stop to think of that? Its just plant food right? That's as hard to pinpoint as was my finding my tapwater was bad for my plants.

Good dective work! :slap:

Bad batch of nutes would exhibit in the tyrones as well, which hasn't happened...

Unless you are speaking specifically of the Soil Secrets soil amendments.

But yeah, it took doing one thing only slightly differently to isolate the issue.

Thanks man!

Well, start up the dirge...

With apologies to GA, I pulled the plug on these guys...

I simply didn't want to:

Exhibit such a poor grow for GA6's gear, they deserve a better, healthier start and veg.

Fight stunted plants for 2.5 to 3 months.

The writing was on the wall and the evidence was available to have reason to believe that this
grow was doomed. Damn Soil Secrets stuff...Well, lesson learned. 11 seedlings later.

I'm so sorry GA6...I'm going to start 2 more "retail" beans w/o the stuff just to make sure then
in 3 weeks or so, I'll try another round of E.T.s

Post mortem wrap-up shots....

They were obviously, heavily stunted - Day 18

For comparison (of development, not genetics) here is another plant of mine at day 18 (with no soil secrets products in it)
