Hello. I have a think different seedling at 6 days old. With 7 more coming in the mail soon. Tee hee hee. But the one is In a hlf gallon of ss#4 mix. The nutes in the soil last like two weeks. When I transplant into 3 gal or 5 gal, when should I apply nutes? How long will the nutes already in the soil last? It seems as though I would'nt need nutes for like the first 5 weeks. My nutes is general organics go box(bio line). I am also going to use ffof/light warrior(50/50) for some of the ones that are coming. And since ffof is a lot hotter, would I need nutes at all?

if your growing autos you should try not to transplant.try to put them in there forever home i learned the hard way and it stunted my la divas growth :bong:

Transplanting can be fine if you do it properly. A lot of new growers and even experienced guys use the tier method. Which is starting in two party cups. The cup on the inside has it's bottom cut out and the outer one just has drainage holes in the bottom. You start in there and when ready to transplant you simply just remove the outer cup and plant the inner one(with the bottom cut out for roots to keep growing) straight into your new, bigger pot about a third of the way down, cup and all. There is virtually no transplant or shock when done this way.

You can start light veg nute feedings on the ones in SSmix around day 12-14. Even when transplanting to new SSmix as it seems you are, the nutes in it are very light and they will still most likely need more veg nutes, which is your Bio Grow, I use those same nutes, mate. :D

The ones that will be in half and half OF and HF could go longer without added nutes. Maybe a couple weeks. But you always just want to keep a good eye or three out on them as much as possible and you can maybe tell when they need some food. Like if everything looks great, but they begin to turn slightly pale green, then there is a great sign that they need to get start on veg nutes, because that pale green indicated that they need more Nitrogen. All considering that your ph is spot on this whole time.

Hope this helps.

Good stuff man. Okay I transplanted a week ago into 3 gal of ffof and light warrior @50/50 each and(1 tbl/gal of lime) and she seems to be liking it pretty well. But I transplanted whenever I started noticing the slight pale green like you said at two weeks old. She is three weeks tomorrow. Think I will need to add any grow nutes ever? Or just skip to bloom nutes after a month or so? I was going to use more ss#4 like I started with but I overlimed it a bit and I need to adjust it later. I'm gonna post pics later on once they get growing good. I got three other 'think different' just sprouted btw. I bought 10 of em and give away 6. Great germination rating. All of them sprouted. Only one didn't make it because the shell was stuck and I tried to pull it off like an idiot and I killed it. I'm rambling here so I'm out. Thank you and goodnight.
