Transdermal Magnesium Guinea-pig thread.

Oh, Aunty has new homework,

DMSO, is a Osteo Athritis pain reliver for horses and some other farm animals. It alsois used to help rebuild bones and such. It was very controversial back in the eighties, people wanted to use it, but the FDA said NO. So some people just buy it at a Feed Store, and then use it. It is usually a rub of some kind. The kind you get from the vet/feed store is VERY strong, and needs to be diluted. It is said that it can harm healthy cells if not used the right way.

I don[t know all the facts. I do know that people use it, but I am not sure in what way and at what strength.

I read somewhere it was a "miracle" drug, and that is why the FDA banned it.

My Opinion

Peace

Eek

Duggy tried it recently...:Haha: Within a couple of days of not sticking with the programme the old niggles and aches returned... It did make the next Mag bath incredible... pHappy...:Sharing One:

What is DMSO..?

Sorry, DMSO = Dimethyl Sulfoxide. I have used it on my lower back in the past when I tweaked it for pain relief. It is able to penetrate the skin very easily and take whatever is there with it which can be a problem if you have some sort of toxin on your skin.

Cheers Eek Oldster..I hadn't heard of it....

Hey all!
Tonight, we whip our first rubs! It's only taken forever to get to this point. "uuuuggghhhh.."
I wanted to give an update on me and the missus.
I'm still starting the day around 6.5 to 6.8, evenings had been really up and down until I started using the B12 and OL extract. I thought it was an oil!
The missus, wow. She started taking the BS, but wouldn't do the pH test 'til I got a meter. Her mornings were in the 5.5 to 6.5 range, evenings more in the 6.1 to 7.
She's been doing the mag foot soaks, occational bath, and spray, and started OL on the 20th, 750mg caps.
What a difference! By the 23rd, her pH smoothed out. Mid to upper 6's in the AM, 7.1 to 7.4 in the PM. Her mood and energy, her entire outlook on life in general has literally soared!
Good stuff, Friends! :grat:

Good Luck..let us know how it turns out...

The OL should start to Buffer your PH..potassium is the buffer.

Both me and jm have started to get new half moons on our finger nails..which says we are absorbing the B12 again.
The magnesium has switched B12 absorbtion back on..so watch your finger nails..you have been on mag about the same time as us two..

That's what it is All about...."pher Wiggle"..the Quality of life..if you Feel Good..Life is so much Easier...:tiphat:

CONGRATULATIONS to you too RR..if you hadn't started it..she never would have tried it..so it is down to you she feels this good.

Not me, ma'am, it's thanks to all of you. Y'all got me started!
We'll try out the rubs tonight, most of this batch will be going out to friends and family.
My half moons are almost all back. I'd forgotten to look at that as a measure of progress.

Canna Magnesium Rub with DMSO

Well I made my mini batch of rub with the DMSO. It definitely worked better and faster on my shoulder. Tried it on my hip for sciatic nerve pain but it did not seem to help that much. The wife has arthritis in her shoulders and knees and it seemed to help her more than the rub without the DMSO.

The consistency of this batch is great, very creamy and goes on very nicely. The only negative is that it does burn a little if you get it on an open cut or sore; don't know if that is from the higher amount of magnesium or the DMSO content. We will try it for a few days to see if longer term use causes any skin issues. If anyone is interested here is the recipe I used.

Happy rubbing all

Canna Rub –w- DMSO

2 oz Canna infused coconut oil
1 tbs avocado oil
1 tbs saturated magnesium chloride
1 tsp DMSO 90%
½ tsp frankincense oil
¼ tsp linalool
2 drops lavender oil
2 drops bergamot
2 drops vetiver

Thanks, Oldster!
Do you think this would be effective minus the canna? I still have a half batch of root oil looking for a job!
