Outdoor Trailanimal's 2017 grows

Lots to do in the next couple of days, besides kick mud of me boots, lol. New doors for the greenhouse, mix up the potting soil, fill pots and get them into the greenhouse for warm up and soil organism wake up. I will be ready for June 1st transplanting!

Yes, thats a good way beein busy, same here. I pimped my guerilla styles with a new backback shovel and some military boots- no more weaker sneaker! Feeling good to get dirt on them hands...

hey 22!, I got a little dusting last night, the back and forth season, but sola too powerful now for much slow down, river filling up with melt water on top of ice, getting real springtime exciting

See thats the lovely thing in beeing where you at, no fucking around with tapwater ph and chlorine, just get a bucket from the shore....

and when the ice goes and water settles down I can pump water to the cabin!

so, making progress:
Mixing potting soil and and filling pots. After 5 years of building garden soil from scratch, river silt with yearly applications of humanure compost, it's beginning to look pretty good. My window grow this season is telling me I don't need to add too much to the base soil. This is what I'm doing:
for a 3 gallon pot, added to garden soil.......
2t 9-3-1 bat guano
2t 0-7-0 bat guano
2t 0-10-10 EB Stone Organics Ultra Bloom
2-1/2 cups worm castings
3 cups pearlite
1/2 cup Blue Sky biochar.......

the guanos, ultra bloom, worm castings, and pearlite thoroughly mixed with soil, and pots filled. The biochar is sprinkled on top of pot and well watered to soften and crumble, it comes as elongated hard pellets. Then it's mixed in.

got 10 pots filled yesterday, back at today. Weather is primo, warming to upper 50s f daytime, probably 75-80 in greenhouse, I'll check this today. Last night only got down to 39f in the greenhouse, moving right along!..
