Outdoor Trailanimal's 2017 grows

I've lost too many seedlings in paper towels not getting to them quick enough or it taking longer and i forget then a week later I have 6 inch long taproots wound up within the layers of paper in the towel. :face: Once I started planting right in... I never lost a seedling that was because of something I did ... The few I did lose were not viable to begin with or just didn't pop. I can clearly tell now when a weak seedling pops and it has no chance. very few and far between...
music!

how i like to do also, but have trouble in greenhouse, usually soil a little cool so have to replant, sometimes a lot, the ones that jump up in the cold rock to the finish line , hardy. This season, as you know, have some very special stuff and want every single seed to grow, so warm window start. How deep you plant? thanks for your input

Yeah warmth is key... That's where my lights do the work for me but in a greenhouse it's a bit more challenging... hmmm... I dig a hole with my index finger down to my first knuckle... bout 1/4 to a 1/2 inch down about... I put a dash of myco for the taproot to hit when it pops out. You could always try to dome the tops... like some saran wrap or some kind of plastic to get the humidity working on the top of the soil... One tip I also learned the hard way in the winter here as even in the house the floor level is cold so in the winter I tend to not leave them sitting on the floor of the tent... Even up a tad off the floor on something helps keep the pots warmer. In my experience Pot can take heat way better than cold... They sure don't like cold feet. Well who does right? lol

right!, I've small clear plastic tumblers to use as the Rh runs low this time of year in wood heated cabin. I think I've been trying to plant a little to shallow
