Anyone out there ever topped your auto's if so what were the results just curious as to the results any input appreciated.

It depends on the strain. If it is growing vertical with very little side branching I don't do it but if there is good side branching I will. Depends on the lights I am using too. My T5 I like to top and put my plants tops a few inches from the light and it works out good. My 600W HPS I might not top because I don't have to worry about light intensity. If I was planning on topping I would leave the lights on for 24 hours a day. As soon as I see a pre flower I will top usually around week 3 and around week 3 or 4 I will turn light to 20 hours. I did this light schedule for my last auto but did not top and it made for a good bush.

Works great. Ruderalis is a hardier strain than indica or sativa. Of course, caveat: You have to have a healthy plant.

my blueberry bliss handled topping very well while my amnesia haze is struggling to stay healthy. I think Joe is correct about it depending on genetics

Hey mrmojo how far along are u on the blueberry bliss grow? I got one going now. Although I didn't top mine I did a modified defoliation. And couldn't believe the result. I took more from one plant as far as removal. And am in total agreement with you guys about genes and would go so far as to say plant to plant.

Light schedule too. If you grow the plant under 24 hours of light tell flower it will stay short and bushy and will top better.

I was at 24/0 light for the blueberry bliss. vision seeds said yield was about 2oz per plant and Hit that right on the nose.
