Hi again AFN! I'm not sure what the issue is anymore at this point. I've made several adjustments from moving the light up as I suspected some light stress (not heat 77F average) early on. She started at about 24 inches away from the light during the first couple of week and then moved to about 27 and now about 30 inches from the top of the canopy. I have a 6 inch fan moving air around but seemed like it was too strong in a 2x2. I've adjust the fan height and always directed it towards the wall but with such a small space, the leaves never stop moving or vibrating. I just put in a vivosun oscillating fan but it's stronger than what i had previously.. Now more concerns about wind stress going forward.

Problem: My girl just isn't growing any taller and way too bushy. Her fan leaves are blocking bud sites all over the place. Some LST and leaf tucking has been applied to even her out but there's just no vertical growth at only 5 inches. New bud sites are crowded due to the dense growth. The fan leaves are much more vigorous then the bud sites so they get pushed around. Unfortunately, I got drunk and made a dumb decision to prune some fan leaves a couple of days ago and may have stunted her a bit. Any suggestions on getting some vertical growth or maybe more pruning of the fan leaves?

Medium/grow method: 2 Gallon Happy Frog

Feed: 1/8 dose of GH during week 4 but has been just water before and now after

Water source: Tap sitting out for a few days and then ph to 6.3-6.5

Strain/age: Growers Choice Tangerine Dream at week 5 (as of today from sprout)

Light used: Mars hydro TS600

Climate: Day time 77F/50-55RH and Night 67F/55RH

She is happy and healthy. Some plants are just short and bushy. Never know she may go nuts once in stretch. Don't sweat it. Looks good.

Smaller plants, with 1/2 by definition at best average size, is a reason why most grow multiple plants, grow different strains, etc.

My girls about week 7 now and I see a small sign of pre-flower approaching. I just got a glance at some really faint pistols from the main top. She's still only about 7 1/2 inches tall but super bushy. I've had to prune her a few time before watering just so it's not so crowded. Based on this original post, that's an inch a week... The light is still about 27 inches away with an somewhat ideal environment.

Will she stretch some more during pre-flower or flower? Should I be concerned that if she stays short like this, she may not even produce smokable buds??

I've been reading about growing weed for the last 18 months and seen many many new growers (like you and me) being worried about the yield they'll get.
Your plant looks very very healthy. She might not grow as big as some plants you'seen posted here by experienced growers but 100% sure with the way your plant is looking now you'll get a lot of nice enjoyable buds!
You have a nice clean grow space! Is that a 2x2 cause it's looks like you could get more then one in there.

Indeed it is. This is the 2x2 by Mars but originally wanted the 2.5x2.5 but they were sold out. I just received some better seeds (at least i think) from 420 and Barney. I'm thinking of going 2 plants on the next run but need to work out the kinks first which is why i opted for 1 plant this round. Seems like i'll have to run the lights high early on during seedling and let them stretch a bit. I just dont know if i'm causing the short growth or if it's the light intensity.

If you have any pics of your grow, i'd love to see it. And, like you, i've been reading about growing nonstop. :)
