Good Morning Afn

Well I want for long to start a journal with my new Grows yet I thing things go wrong all the time.
My medioum has 50% perlite and soil coco mix, Temp at 25 C - 30 C. Undder 100watt of cfl at least each one. But those seedlings growth is delayed too long. look at them at day 10, What is going on guys HELP second time. I cant make those seeds to root properly. Iam worse than a Noob total JERK
Northern light, AK 49 , Afgan Kush Ryder.:aha: I wonder if the roots cannot develop because of the perlite , because over watering or waterlogged is impossible with so much perlite, there is always oxygen to the roots. On the other hand how can the root reach the bottom of the pot if the soil is not wet? I use a 25 ml syringe when I water them. So what has happened to me this summer:ill:??? please any advice again :paleo::crying::crying::crying::hurry:

Thanks Firends

My friend thanks for your reply Do you mean to increase my watering to 500 ml a day?
should or should I not feed the lightly? Sorry didnt catch you?

To consider Perlite and Vermiculite get used to Incubate Reptile Eggs cause of their ability to Hold up Water very good and long. So if you have a 50% Perlite in that holds a lot of Water and may cause overwatering!!! Thats one of the Reasons i use Pure Coco. Did the Error and used some Perlite leftovers to Mix my Coco in the last run which ruined my Babys. Stunted Growth always too long Dry out Cycles(you want to aim 1-2 day cycle to water with coco). Just my 2 cents and Expierience over the Time. Btw new Babys sitting on Pure Coco and no Stunted growth and preflowers at Day 16.

It's not too much perlite ... you can grow in 100% perlite w/ the right water and fertilizer. It looks like you barely have enough light to read in there so you can expect them to grow slowly ... give them enough water w/ 1/4 strength nutes to reach the bottom of the pot ... pour it slowly in a circle 1/2 the distance from the plant to the pot ... turn the bulbs pointing down to sideways ...

I am so sorry I get vermiculite and perlite mixed up you have a lot of water retention with that much perlite but still tons of air getting to the roots. I would go with Chesters adivice

Yes it would be good if they were horizontally placed but I cant. I have those adapters for two bulbs which kind of create a V angle. But all of them have 100 watts on top of them. I used to have great results with cfls, especially with seedlings!!!:paleo:

I Thought vermiculite holds more water than perlite Am I wrong?

I used both over 1,5 Decades to Incubate my Python and other Snake Eggs from my Experience they Both hold Similar content of Water. Perlite might be a few % under the Vermiculite and im writing bout own Eperience atm in a 1 on 1 Comparison of 2 Supernatural Ogs the one without Perlite in the Coco defo has the better Dryout Cycle and Growth/Rootgrowth.

No your right I am wrong I use sunshine mix #4 or pro mix hp. If I use regular pro mix bx I put two cups Perlite for every 20 litres of pro mix bx. I am not with it today I will just keep my mouth shut
