Hello everybody i have a mephisto sourhound 2wks into flower. Shes really thick with leaves even underneath. It makes it a pain to water. Would anybody suggest a lil defoliation or just let her be. This is my first auto grow.
Ditto. Getting rid of some of that foliage will only benefit you down the road, in terms of air circulation, ease of maintenance/watering and light penetration. As mentioned, start from the bottom up, and try to take no more than about a third. In my experience this will get you what you're looking for without stressing the plant out too much, and you can always do a little leaf-tucking up top if you need more light penetration.
In nature they except to have a few eaten for fall off, so they grow more leaves than they actually need. Definitely trim her and get those lower branches some light. Just dont do a whole bunch at once. Spread it out over a couple of days. She'll be fine!
