I think i messed it up i put some unwashed co co in it and it my be salty ..how can i fix it or check it? Or will time heal it?
Sorry, I have no experience with coco.

Aslo now that my hydro shop grew they carry this http://www.xtreme-gardening.com/products They said most others get their Mycos and Azos from them and they are the best.
I don't see where they would hurt anything. You really shouldn't need the azos if you have EWC and guanos in your mix. :peace:

Thats cool TY for your help how do i do the math? I am looking at the bags i hate to ask you what the formula? this old one for the other amendment but it says every 2 weeks for epsom slat do i multiply the amount by how long i think the plant will grow?says 1 tsp per plant height every 2 weeks. My tallest one atm is over 3ft.LOL how do i figure out how much..wish there was one simple way for all this stuff im adding.

Brother, I have read this, re-read, re-read, re-read over and over... I have absolutely no idea what you are asking me, in reference to the answer I just gave you, especially when you add the Epsom salts caveat. Sorry I can't be more help. :peace:

OK how much Epsom to i add ?
I would throw about a cup full in there pre-cook.

And what is a ez way to figure the ratio mixes for my amendment?
Are you using a recipe? That would help me to know where you are at.

Hey X I have a question for you hope I'm not jacking anybody's thread but I have a huge pile of horse shit what can I do with it. Or what do I need to do to it to be able to grow with it?

I have it covered with a blue tarp and have checked it but it seems as if only the edges around it is doing anything what I mean is when I raise the tarp around the outside of the pile I can see that the worms have been there and there is a lot of worm castings but 90% of it still looks the same. I don't want to use it and get grass and weeds growing everywhere so how do I fix this do I need to add anything to it someone told me to put some ammonium nitrate on it and cover it back up.

Can I go ahead and use the part that is worm castings now or wait till its all finished? And how often do I need to turn it and does it need to be turned over all the way to the bottom or just mixed up? Thanks X or anyone else who has any ideas and sorry for so many questions.

Hey X I have a question for you...etc.
The manure needs to compost/cook down before you use it with plants, unless they are in a dormant state (which does not apply to canna). Honestly, I have never been in your situation before, so I am winging it to some degree.

If it were mine, I would take the tarp off and only use it to cover your pile when it rains. Before I go much farther, when you say huge pile, are we talking yards of manure or gallons?

NO i dont have a recipe im just adding amendments as i learn more and see them on sale.Im sure my soil has lots of other stuff in it and is good to grow now but i wanted to make sure at least 80% of my bases were covered on things to add to the soil. I just have a 30 gal tote and the soil in the pots ans as its used i mix it back in.the next round will be a while so i have a month or more to add to the soil right now.

I'm glad I asked. :D Since you're working with about 30 gals, the best bet would be to look up L's recipe in the recipes thread. His recipe is based on about a 30 gal base, I think. The measurements don't have to be exactly on the mark... If you are in the ballpark, and you have time to let the mix cook, you should be okay.
