@Bum - say what now ?? Gorilla Grow coco is not supposed to be used for seeds ??
They're kidding right? What on earth are they supposed to be for? This is completely bonkers. If it's good for clones and plants, there is absolutely no reason on planet earth it can't be good for seeds. I'd love to understand their reasoning behind this, it just doesn't make sense at all. Coco is
virtually an inert medium, unlike soil, where you have strong EC and light mix, and then yeah, strong mix can burn the plants.
You only have two type of coco. Reptile grade, which has no trychoderma and is steamed (creating plant toxic nitrogen), and then you have horticultural grade coco, which is absolutely good for whatever you wish… cloning, seeding, potting up, amending soil, whatever.
This latter group, sure, there maybe some coco better than other… I myself prefer Canna and Biobizz. I like Canna the best because it just looks more consistent in granularity and general feel, less lumps and weird stuff, often arrives moister and fresher smelling… since they have such bigger client base, so product doesn't usually get stuck in a warehouse for year or two until sold.
don't stress
@Bum, I think you'll be fine. if you want to turbo charge your coco/plants without affecting your feeding regime, I highly highly suggest either learning to make aerobic compost tea/compost tea … or just buy bottled agro-bacteria and myco's to include in the water to innoculate the roots. Impossible to overdo an totally safe, and will promote more overall plant health than the entire Obama Care programme
