New Grower Three Pounds per Light!

This is their $500 'secret' ...

FanLeafRemoval.png

Trim the fuck out of the plant at 'show your sex' time.
Remove ALL fan leaves.
Use nutrients to do the job of the fan leaves.

we run 3-4 plants per light to hit three plus. Defoliation works great as long as you replace the micro and macro nutrients the plant was getting from the leaves in the feed you give it.

Maximum defoliation.
Maximum light penetration.
Maximum nutrient optimisation.

Remember, we grow nugs, not leaves.

$500 for a book...lol!

This is exactly the same technique I use for defoliating my outdoor ladies.

I think given the right strain and growing technique, it is certainly possible to get 3lbs per 1k light. Back in the day I used to use 1k HPS and a homemade ebb n flow table. Running a stacked SoG setup using 4" rockwool cubes on a lava rock base using Homegrown Hydro's A+B nutrients, I was able to pull 1/4oz every 4 inches.(1044g's per 1k) And this is over 20 years ago with midgrade technique and supplies....

Wording is soooooo important ...

3lbs per LIGHT.
Not per PLANT.

3lbs = 48oz
3-4 plants/light = 12 to16oz per plant.

Still impressive, BUT, with a photoperiod, high-yielding strain, dialled-in room, in the hands of someone who knows what they're doing ... not unbelievable.

But just to emphasise - still VERY impressive.

Out of sheer coincidence I been on youtube the past two hours searching through all the shit and i found a guy who seems to talk a lot sense and BOOM here he is also defoliating his plants to with in an inch of their lives !

I was about to start a thread asking about the defoliating process but maybe theres no need and you guys can answer it for me first of Autos are they okay to be defoliated ? more precisely can i start defoliating my 30 day old auto's which are HBSS from Mephisto, if it is is their anything different i need to do with my nutes to replace the leaves Im currently using Tang advanced feeding schedule .

Kind regards
The pear

I usually cut most of the fan leaves that block budsites but have noticed in some auto strains too much removal appears to affect growth

This topic is interesting !! Is anybody gonna try it?? Do I see a challenge coming up???

I'm tempted to give it an A vs B comparison.
Same strain, same schedule, same tent, etc.
Side by side.

Might do it next grow - if I'm brave enough!

what will you use to compensate for the micro and macro nutrients?
