Thoughts on carbon filters

Wat size to put in a 80x80x160 tent and wat brand I'm UK so not sure if that effects wat i can get

Get a Rhino Pro Carbon Filter. It will last and do a good job for years.

Match the size to your extraction fan so it fits snuggly without the need for reducers or lots of duct tape.

Hi bud, my tent is 4ft by 2 ft by 5 ft , so not a lot of difference to yours. I use a rhino pro carbon filter, and 4 inch rvk fan. This gives me just slightly more than I need , so I dont have to run everything full power, I can dial it down , and there’s a bit of suck left in reserve should I need it. You can get the fan , filter, and choice of ducting in a combo package at a pretty reasonable price. Just check eBay or Amazon ect, many places on line sell these kits. If you can then I would go for the pro filter , it has a thicker layer of carbon inside compared to the standard model and has a much larger can, and not too much difference in price. It’s the set up I currently use and run it on a g.a.s. speed controller with temp probe. I’ve had it all up and running for my entire grow. 11 weeks so far non stop. And it hasn’t skipped a beat. Highly recommend it for the smaller growers.

^ what blue said .
for only A few quid, get yourself a fast clamp for joining fan to filter, effortless airtight and super sturdy.

My tent is the same, and I use a 5" RUCK & matching Rhino Filter, with a step down transformer. I run it at 1/2 speed for the majority of my grows. More quiet that way. A 4" at full speed is a lot more noisy than a 5" at 1/2 speed.

I also took pictures of the Rhino Pro against the Rhino Hobby, when I was swapping them out. Could not believe the difference in size.

5" RUCK & matching Rhino Filter

Can't beat a Ruck .. exactly the same setup as me, but my fan auto speeds up and slows depending on temps. I've used the same fan and rhino pro filter for over 5 years now (only a few plants a year though)
