What's happening guys?

I am new to the forum, but a veteran autoflower grower, and thought that I would share my current grow with you all. I am almost two weeks in on my first Think Different plant and it has been a pain compared to anything that I have had to deal with. Let me start with my setup.

Strain: Dutch Passion Think Different, Hazeman Hippie Headband, Humboldt Seeds Blue Dream

Method: DWC - 5 gallon bubble buckets. One 6 inch circular air stone per tank.

Medium: Rockwool/Hydroton

Nutrients: Advanced Nutrients Micro, Grow, Bloom, Big Bud

Lighting: 250 MH/HPS and 240 Blackstar LED for flowering.

Temps 75- 80

Humidity 30% - 40%

Fans: 1 6 inch fan. No carbon scrubber because I live in Colorado.

I have one Think Different that is 12 days old. She started off fine but quickly developed discoloration. The growth did not seem to halt so I assumed she was def. I dosed her with 4ml each of Micro, Grow, Bloom and that seemed to have no effect on her other than stopping the spreading of the discoloration. The leaves began to claw downward and she started to halt growth. I thought that I saw signs of MG Def so I added 4 tsp of Epsom salts. After 6 hours of her not doing any better I flushed her and let her go overnight in pH balanced clean water. I dosed her again today with 3 ml each of M, G, B and she appears to be doing ok except that her leaves are still clawed downward. Ph is within range so I do not understand what is going on.

I have another think Different that sprouted today and two Hippie Headband's + 1 Blue Dream currently Germinating.

ANY advice on what is going on with my baby would be greatly appreciated. I have tried with no luck other forums.

I added another air line to the res to see if for some reason it isn't getting enough air. Also, I noticed the leaves are a little powdery looking? Low humidity or powder mold?

When leaves claw downwards and growth slows is a sign of either P deficiency or over-feeding, too much N. I have no experience in hydro or DWC so I don't know how fast a plan should react to what you did (flush and new nutes). Some other folk should be able to hop in and help you more

Good luck on your grow mate

I'd raise the humidity a bit. I think dry air and temps near the 80's can force the plant into taking up too much nutrient. What's your EC/PPM? You got some purple shades on the leaves?
I just had this SAME problem on my current grow. Also TD and I'm also on day 12. The humidity was 35%. I raised it to 50-55 and they perked up overnight(today).
Check out the link in my sig to the perpetual grow.

I would guess low humidity.

are those blue dream and headband autos or photos?

They are not autos, unfortunately . Freebies that came with this order of seeds.

@ goauto they were looking similar to that, not as severe though.

@taviddude I think you were spot on. I put my humidifier in there for a couple of hours last night and raised the humidity from 38% to 55%. This morning they appeared to be much happier. I will probably give them another 1/4 strength of nutes at the end of the day because she is looking slightly purple on the stems. Thanks for your help guys. Here she is this morning: TD day13 (4).jpgTD day13 (1).jpgTD day13 (3).jpg

Cool Man, good to hear things turned around for ya. I can see your leaves have the same purple hue to them that mine do. That's why I asked. Definitely a P deficiency. I bumped up the P in my feed to try to get rid of it, but it's still there a little. TD loves it's Phosphorus when it's young, that's for sure. My guess is the roots are eating it up. I really don't want to run the P any higher, or I'd almost be running a transition/flower ratio and I don't want to stop vertical growth, or force flowering. They're just going to have to grow out of it I guess.

That's weird we're both having the same problems at the same exact time with these TD's.

I didn't have the Phosphorus deficiency on either of my last grows using the same nutes, and hydro.

Did you snag these from Attitude too?

Peace
