New Grower THINK DIFFERENT GROW

I would probably stay with the metal halide until the plants have stopped their stretch. That's the main reason for using them with Autos just to keep your internode spacing short.

Ok thanks man,how can u tell when they stop there stretch isit like they just stop growing so fast.i heard they will stretch more with the red spectrum hps vs the dual spectrum, which bulb would u go with?

Oh yh i saw your plant, very impressive. one can dream lol

Judging the end of the stretch is a real art and honestly if I haven't grown a plant before I never am quite sure. But usually they take off and it will last for about 2 weeks and then it'll just slow down all the sudden.

I guess I don't really know about the Dual Spectrum bulb, I've just use metal halide and HPS.

Oh ok ill keep an eye onit and try judge for myself. And the bulbs: both of them are hps bulbs its just the red spectrum has all red spectrum which is good for flowering and the dual spectrum has blue and red spectrum so it can be used for veg and flower.i think its like say a 2in 1 shampoo and conditioner will never be as good as seperate bottles. (If that makes sense lol) but then some say dual spectrum makes denser buds so trying to get some opinions onit. See this pic the top bulb is a dual spectrum hps the middle is metal hallide (blue spectrum) and bottom is red spectrum hps

Well another thing you can do is wait until all your top buds are the size of buttons nice little round buds. Then switch over to that regular HPS. Seems the way you can get dual Spectrum with that kinda bulb would be to actually devote a little less watts to each spectrum and later in flower you might as well give all your Watts over to your flower Spectrum.

That makes perfect sense cheers. Best ot both worlds.then the bit of blue spectrum in dual will help em grow more and then just red when they have stopped growing.
ima try that :clapper:

Agreed tents same size as mine and well i wish i only put 1 plant in it.
What light schedule did u grow your TD under 20/4 the whole grow? Like dutch passion reccomend.im thinking if 18/6 will make much difference
