New Grower THINK DIFFERENT GROW

@jingo u see wot u was talking about not cutting leaves that go to a bud would this be leaves like these onesView attachment 900960 View attachment 900961 View attachment 900959 View attachment 900958

U see both stems go to a bud, which makes me think that theyre the leaves feeding the bud?

As i feel i could do with less leaves but most if not all of them are leaves like that that go to a bud, also what would u do with the lower leaves if theyre not blocking anything.especially if theyre going yellow wouod you take em off so the plant dont focus on trying to heal them

Some of the lower stems i left on have grown alot, almost to the top of the canopy

And the short ones fatten up

Also i was wondering something about the light/reflection,i cant get all the buds underneath the light.
Do u think the ones outside the light will get just as much light,as i do have quite a big light for my tent, here look

Ive seen big grows with lots of plants and they only have a few lights so i imagine its enough for my small space.
Can you rotate plants around if I have some right under and some outside footprints I move them around every 3 days to get good light on them all the time

I used to rotate them but it got quite annoying trying to jam em back into the tent so now i dont move them,
but i can rotate the tray/all 4 at the same time to get some difference in the light hitting different areas.but theres always the outer edge ones outside the hood.

I would like to imagine the hood reflects it out a bit lol and the tent walls being so close to reflect back?

Okay, let's see how good my memory is after having read your post. I think there were four or five questions and I'll try to cover them all.

I usually remove a significant amount of those spindly inner branches that stretch up towards the top of the canopy. They're not really thick enough to grow really big buds so if it's a matter of needing to thin things out for light penetration I usually start removing the smallest of those.

When I have a bud at a node I make sure and leave the fan leaf at that node. When I have a branch growing from the node that is healthy on its own with multiple nodes I will remove the fan Leaf from the node the branch is growing out of.

Lights are most always have a footprint bigger than their dimensions and it's really just a matter of experience figuring out what that is. Once you get that experience you might grow your plant in more of a stadium Bowl type of shape, where the plants under the light are lower than the plants around the edges that way the plants around the edges get more light.

Fan leaves at the bottom of the plant that are turning yellow are actually feeding your plant mobile nutrients. It's okay to leave them on if you're not blocking anything or causing problems with air circulation. I like to remove them when they have given up enough of their nutrients to where the leave just kind of plucks right off the stem real easy.

Now I'll try and remember the answers I gave you while I go back and look and see if I remembered all the questions lulz

Yeah I think I got it all. If you want to thin things out take a good close look at those spindly inner branches that start down at the bottom and try and reach all the way up to the top. that will help thin things out a bit just take a couple of the smaller ones and see how you feel about it and continue if you feel good stop if you don't.

Another blady hot day in england:yoinks:
I gave them another couple hours with lights off through the hottest part of the day 4pm - 6pm like u said @jingo
I checked the temps before the lights came on it was this

By the time i watered it went up

Thats with the lights off,im trying to keep it lower than that with the lights on:face:

One thing i noticed when opened the door was some yellow leaves

It is almost week 8 and i know later on leaves do turn yellow, especially the lower ones.bit thought i would post and see peoples opinions as i had a problem with yellowing leaves last time.

Another thing is one side is taller than the other, see here:

I noticed it before but it seems to of got worse.
I actually move the shorter side more under the light, but now im wondering if its because the taller side was more outside of the light,it was stretching to get in the light.
So now ive moved the short side more out of the light, hoping its that and it gets abit taller.
I cant realy pull taller bits down any more as theyre already to close to the sides of tent.

Also thought shouod i take the pipe cleaners off the short side, bit the tall side has them on and theyve gotten taller so dont think its that.

Its now sitting at 32°c with lights being on 48 minutes so hopefully it wont raise anymore, and the weather says the temps outside are starting to drop now aswell
