New Grower Think different and auto The ultimate How many in a 4x4?

I have these two strains and wondering how many I should put in a 4x4 under 600 LED (solar spec)

I know they get bigger than typical autos so the 1 per sf rule might leave me a big over crowded. I plan to scrog as well. Is 6 too many? Too few?

4-6 however many you can fit in there and feel comfortable of growing I would say!

Ok. I just don't want things to be too over, or under crowded. I've heard of people doing 1 per sf with smaller autos, but that's obviously going to be too tight with these larger ones.

I'd probably do at least 9, but only do what you are comfortable taking care of!

yeah ThatKracker is right 9 would be possible. I assume this is your first grow it would be packed tho, without doubt.
I think six is safer it has a far lower chance of ending up overcrowded and if it does turn out to get overcrowded it'll have taken longer and you'll be schooled enough to handle it without your head exploding of the million little things that tend to go wrong.
The first time is always a guessing game after that it'll become much easier.

Depends on your grow style. With big pots and scrog, 2 will be enough. AU gets very big, but TD also, when fed properly.

I used 600W with 4 x TD in 15l pots and was quite nice.

Wow really? Just two? I guess that's the way to save on seeds. Maybe I'll split the difference and scrog 4 just to be safe.

The other strain I'm looking at is sweet seeds dark devil. I imagine I can probably easily do a 9 scrog with those since they're smaller? Or do they get as big?

How big they get is pot size related mostly. Other things influence too, but 1l pot will make plant small no matter what strain. And if you grow in 15l airpots and feed them properly, they will be so big that 4 would hardly fit into 1,2x1,2m tent.
