Hey AFN!
I am just finishing a Sour Stomper grow and the plan was to write a review when she's done.
But since my girl has taken a rather different path than what the Sour Stomper typically looks like, I've changed my mind to post it as a grow report.
So I started her in a 28L pot of living soil that had 2 previous runs on it and had to be filled up with fresh soil mix after a tomato plant grown as a companion had literally eaten up a good 7cm of it
I had a 4cm layer of quartz sand on there vs. fungus gnat propagation (which works perfectly as long as the sand's on btw, but seems the eggs remain viable and then hatch and survive again when the sand comes off).
On this run, I was also experimenting quite a bit with feedings, especially giving her fresh smoothies to boost whatever growth phase she was in. The theory backing this is the concept of there being a cycle of living matter going on, where the plant roots act a bit like our intestines in wrapping themselves around complex molecules, like hormones and enzymes, and applying those directly to their growth. So when a plant is vegging, I will mix young plant shoots, chock with growth hormones, and water those in. When she's flowering, I will mix up flowers, and when she's fattening up, fruit will be the amendment of choice. I also did a fresh SST amidst that, which follows the same principle.
Germinated with mycos in a paper towel and planted directly, choosing the best of two on day 8.
They were kind of slow to start, which may be user error, I have yet to get a feel for the right time to remove the humidity domes off the seedlings.
They got their first chlorophyll/protoplasma smoothie (tomato shoots blended in water) on day 8 too:
Had to open a trench in the sand to water it in:
This is the stronger one I grew out:
I so love how she kept her seed hull tucked under her "arm" for quite another while!
