Indoor The Slowmo fall of 2017 (Biotabs + Autopots)

I've got a similar spreadsheet for managing my seed inventory, and am also trying to decide which strains to start up for my next round. It was so confusing, I decided to add another column to the spreadsheet -- "typical height range" based on Breeder's specs or my own past experience. Now I can sort and more easily choose tent-mates based on consistency of the canopy and positioning of the LED. I look forward to following whatever you grow. Good luck.

@KonopCh here is the email info@bigplantscience.com

@Only1Sky have only done a few tables yet ... but the database will eventually include all growing data....

i imagine growth charts etc .. complete log and picures.

all in a compact relation database

but had to start with the seeds ;)

Wow. I'm impressed and interested. Microsoft Access? I build large spreadsheets for some of my other projects, and dabble with pivot tables. But I always get frustrated when I pick up a book on Access and try to create the kind of database that will allow flexible reporting. Currently my spreadsheet also tracks the variables shown in yours plus price per seed, yield per plant, dates (purchased, dropped, died or harvested), days from drop to harvest, success/failure of the germination methods used, medium used, nutes used, and various totals and averages.

But I'd love to have a powerful relational database for this "hobby". Still being something of a noob, I still don't really know all the variables that are important and worth having versus those that are just noise and a waste of time.

I wonder how many other growers here on AFN (or other forums) also have created customized digital tracking systems --- probably quite a few. Maybe there is a small ($$) business here for the enterprising dude who wants to offer a quasi-commercial app.

Then u are half the way there !

i like access as a frontend because i can turn the database into a program with custom forms and code, with VB from right inside the gui..

but the actual dababase should be in MySQL or simelar ....

i had some database lessons many many moons ago ... general database design is the same no matter what system u use ... just normalize to 3rd level and u are good to go ;)

I like the idea of turning this into something more than just a personal database ;)

hmm ... :pass:
