Hey thanks for the encouragement guys. Farmergreen, I love that gif!

I washed n cleaned my pots today and prepped the soil mix ready for when they sprout. I am going to clean up my grow room and dis-infect it ready to take on the girls.
I forgot to mention that I will also be growing two Candy Kush Autos from Auto seeds that I purchased from www.justfeminised.com

But, it is really all about the Bitch beans.

just curious to know why you swapping the lights over after seedling stage.
are you just using the vipar on low power ? moving the plants into another cupboard under the prakasa,to put new seedlings under vipar.or don't you rate the vipar for veg n flower ?

A good question. The Vipar is my spare/extra light. I bought it when I got mixed up with some photo's/Auto's and had to employ an extra cupboard on a different light cycle.


The Vipar has two main light units, each of which are dimmable. So, I can use it on low power or half light at the start of the grow when the little gals don't need the full power of the Prakasa.


I like both lights, but as a thrifty penguin, I like to keep the lecky bills down if poss.

Just checked my paper towel. The two Candy Kush are through. 5mm tap roots.

The Bitch are still whole. But it is early yet.

In the time it took for the IT bods to re-boot the old server, all the seeds are now happily in their pots complete with tap roots and are now trying to push out their first leaves.

Great stuff!

Now then, I can't keep calling the girls Bitches. So, with due respect to out esteemed member "The Elvis" I will from now on refer to them as Lisa and Marie.
To continue the theme the Candy Kush will be Cilla and Prissy.

The ladies are now tucked up under the Vipar on one light at full power. Now this is important :

Within three and a half hours of being under the light (they were on my window sill next to a warm radiator) they had grown a whole centimeter and had put on new leaves. I kid you not.

Lesson to be learned here : Get 'em under your light ASAP

I have wasted two days here having them by the window. And, as Auto's, the clock is always ticking. They have a harvest date that we cannot control. So we must help them to pack on as much growth as poss in the time we have.

See, every time we grow, we learn new things.
