if she wants to get tall, does it create problems in your space?

So a wee update since someone moved house yesterday. Yes, I know she doesn't look so good, but remember this is less than 24 hours after being transplanted and, well, you should have seen her yesterday, this is what you call recovering nicely as after transplant everything was drooping more than the skin of the fat bastards after they've been on the TLC Freak Show series'. Everything was as limp as Bill when Hillary gets her kit off, but she's perking up nicely and faster than I thought she would. So she's under the LED panel now until the end, and you can see what I mean about the "height to width" ratio on her, just the way I like them since she's about to hit puberty and you know what sort of growth spurt that means, especially with the move from 6500K to 3000K lighting.

Can easily grow a 3 foot plusser, but you'll see the bending start once she's settled and stretched a bit. Think it was you who asked about upping the size of the pots too, and all I can say is that in under three weeks the roots were already starting to come out the bottom of the 5l pot. In the best part of 3 months she can fill a pot three times that size with no issues. 30l, maybe not but there's no "wasting soil" in a 17l pot in my opinion as if she doesn't fill it up completely she'll enjoy the extra breathing space

she don’t look bad at all following a transplant mate. i’ll be doing attempting some transplants in the next month so I can get a couple of youngsters started to replace the 50 dayers.
sorry if I missed it, any reason you don’t like going straight in to the final pot?

Simple reason was I didn't have the fabric pots at the time of seed, otherwise it would be straight in. I don't like transplants, too many things can go wrong and getting all of these roots out in as much as one as possible was a pig. So this was more of an exception to my rule, I don't normally transplant, it's usually straight into the final pot whether it's auto or photo. No humidomes, no spraying, they always seem to come on well when they're watered and left in peace.

But I was shocked to see signs of things perking up within a few hours, guess the timing was right, old enough to have the strength but just before the puberty spurt. Was kinda planned for around the 3 week mark, she's flipped me the bird saying "Is that the best you can do, give me some pain, bitch, tie me down, you know you want to" though because I expected a couple of days to recover. Nice to see her bounce back so quick.

Midweek update. Not much visible growth, but still healthy and that tells me she's laying down roots. Lower leaves had served their purpose, they were starting to yellow and die off so were snipped. Now it's time to sit back and watch her.

Sunday update, I think it's safe to say that any transplant shock is over as she's jumped 2" in height and, once a little bigger, will get find out how much she likes some BDSM. Leaves are healthy, I can drop a litre and a half of water in and she doesn't even think about drooping, all behaviour is exactly what you expect.

So, all things considered, she's healthy and is doing exactly what is expected at this stage.

One is content.

So here's the latest pics, she's progressing but I'm hoping for a real growth spurt or I will have a dwarf that doesn't give me as much as I hoped for. If the latter, then I blame the transplant.

Time will tell, but when I look at the pic from last weekend and then today, well, she's maybe not so slow as I though she was.

Looking good! I had trouble with my new plants, my seedlings almost died but I resurrected them. I made the old mistake of ignoring the “if it ain’t broke don’t fix it” rule. I decided I would try germinating some seeds in rockwool. So I did, and I have to say that is some harshly PH’d shit. I soaked them first in proper water and all the rest of it but a little way down the line and things ain’t looking so happy. All three seedlings look like something out of Micheal Jackson’s thriller. Turns out that the rockwool had some kind of nutrients in it. Caused me a bad problem when it came to my planned feeding schedule.......
Don’t be afraid of having a dumpy plant btw, I got just over 40g off my BlackBerry Auto (surprisingly) the main Cola grew in a curved shape and I really couldn’t see quite how big it was because of the angle. It was super dense and fat. The other buds didn’t equate to huge amounts but I’ve found the buds to be extremely tight and dense. Some top smoke too considering her treatment and my F-ups. Soooooo, you will be just fine, you know more than I so you can’t go wrong!
Frankenpanel is going to be the star of this show though. I only wish I had bought some blue and some 3500k

It's finding the "right" kelvin that's a bigger issue to me, that's where the experimenting begins as I know the circa 3000K works good but can be an issue in stopping stretching. It's why I'm trying to find 4000K at the right price which is not so easy.

But going by how she's going I was in the bit we call the calm before the storm as the growth and development is there. Sure, transplanting didn't help and won't be happening again, but she's bounced so much into life that it was looking like the panel would have to be lifted at least daily so a bit more bending was done.

That's the joys of weed, it's one of the few times you can seriously go all bondage on a female without her complaining or the feminazi's going batshit at you....
