In testing things out, I figure it's also good to know nutrient tolerances. Good for the breeder to know and good for future growers of the strain to know. I pushed the Spirit51's to about 950ppm for the past two days, up from 650ppm where they were doing fine, nice and green, no leaf tip burn or anything. I thought, if there's not even a spec of nutrient overload, then there's room to go. After two days I did see a touch of burn at 950ppm, and I do like to see just a touch, and this went a hair too far for me, so I dialed it back down to 750ppm this morning, pH 5.8-5.9 and I think that's where I'll find them to be happiest. My other rails have pushed 2100ppm (no typo) in veg, without a burn, but that gets SO expensive to do, and I'd heard that yields can actually be better at 1250ppm, so, they're now at 1150-1250ppm. It's amazing the different tolerance levels between autos and photoperiod plants.
Just one more reason to love autos... they're a cheap date.
Brenda and ICU#4 are loving the aero now. Roots are getting longer by the hour and they're starting to take off, which is so much fun to see.
Oh.... So, Spirit51 has a really unique smell... like Nutella almost. Really nice toasted hazelnut smell right now. Crap, now I'm hungry. And I swear the outer half of the fan leaves are starting to turn a deeper hue, gearing on a violet almost. Maybe that's just me, 'cause the rest of my photo's are DC crosses and they're all starting to put on color now.
