Every time i use them, first to get everything out of them, and two so its clean for whatever type i'm consuming next, as its hard to compare and evaluate bud when there all mixed together with the last buds remnants but i like 2 piece grinders and just do a general sweep of it with an old hair trimmer brush, they get alcohol baths when they start to gum up every 3 months or so.
