New Grower The Garden of Beavis

Hey everyone, newbie beavis here, back again with a garden update. Thought this time maybe I could create an actual diary/grow journal.

Grow area: 31"x31"x71" tent

Lighting: HLG 260W V2 QB

Medium: Fox farms Ocean Forest/Happy Frog/Perlite (~30%, ~40%, ~30%)

Nutes: started with Fox Farms Trio, switched to Advanced Nutrients lineup about 3 weeks in.



The Double Grape and Sam's OG were both germinated on the 5th of April, planted and then later, they popped out of the dirt on April 7th.

Watered with distilled water, with 2ml/L AN"s CalMag Xtra, once every few days to keep the seedlings going. I was told that distilled water needs some Cal mag treatment to make it safe for watering. Seems like they were right.

I also decided to start germinating a couple of CDLCs to fill out the tent. This was on April 11th. They had sprouted by April 14th, so that puts them exactly one week behind the DG and SSOG.

I will do a current update after this and then keep up by updating daily. Too many pictures and dates to go back through to list them all lol.

So here they are last night right before a feeding.

They are got a lot of new nutes last night. I am hoping they will respond well. This is what I fed last night. pH to 6.5 (DG & SSOG, fed 1000ml per plant)

2x CDLC were receiving this last night. (Fed 500ml per plant)

And here is the CDLC that I decided to top.

I will post an update later today when I make it back home. Hopefully they respond well to the feeding last night. Hopefully it clears up some issues that I have been having. (All other roads are leading me to a dead end so I am hoping it is pH fluctuations or something similar.)

I noticed this weird discoloration in a couple of bottom leaves on both the DG and SSOG. Really hoping the ph fix and the new nutes will make them feel like a million bucks. Those water spots are just where a little nute water sat there. I was thinking maybe a phosphorus deficiency? Or lockout from pH?

They seem to really be responding well to the 1/2 strength dose of bloom nutes that I gave them last night. I am kinda excited to see what this Voodoo Juice & Piranha do for the root systems on all of these babies.

The CDLCs keep trucking along. Doing lovely.

CDLCs both on day 14. The one that I topped is first.

Good news, I have not seen any more discoloration in the bottom leaves on either of the older ladies since feeding their first dose of bloom nutes. They seem to be really be getting their stretch on right now. I expect to see flowers next week, but maybe I am just getting hopeful?

Thanks for stopping by! I wouldn't be surprised if the DG did pass up the SSOG. So far the DG has show so much more resilience than the Sam's. Almost no signs of deficiency from the Grape, where as Sam shows nearly everything I do wrong to her lol. It's been very interesting so far.

Just had a couple of male pre-flowers showing on the CDLC that I topped. Hopefully these are the last of them. The tops are showing all pistils these males surprises were coming out from underneath the sucker leaves (very first leaves) kinda weird. I plucked them and I don't want to see any more .
