The Cold Conditions Thread

yeah we're gettin artic fucked here too... 2 inches of snow last night and down to 18 Deg F overnight tonight n tommorrow.

Thought you guys might be interested in the progress of the Mi5 plant I that was on the garage window sill since the end of Dec. It's been under a 400 watt HPS for the last 3 weeks now. When I first put it under the light it went into shock for awhile but after about a week it started to grow and within the last week has produced the side branches. Before that it was just a stick with some green on the top 3rd. All the leaves are 3 fingered but a dark green, very shiny. Haven't really gave it a good feeding but think I will tomorrow. It's still in preflower so maybe it will grow a little more. It's only about 7" tall right now.

looking good.. sounds like it went through homeostasis ok... :)

Im at around 65 N, and im gonna get some seeds to start growing outdoors this season. Do you guys have any tips about some hardy strains? I am thinking some AK47 variety, like easy ryders (mossys are out of the picture since i cant get them). Any tips here?

Thinking about just getting a wide range of sativas and indicas and see what suits best, but it would be cool if you could narrow down my choices!

Oh, yes you can.. There are always ways doin that, mate!
If you read up this thread, you´ll find good info on Lat.65 N

I think also those Danish strains might be worth a try!

Night temps slowly rising here,too...

Couldnt find any places that has the mossys in stock, but i guess ill just have to look further... Ive thought about danish strains, but unfortunatley i cant pre-veg them inside so i dont think they will finish. There can still be night frost in the beginning of june and in the end of august, so i only have 90 days tops.

Grew some random bagseed just for fun last year and it handled the weather pretty well, it seemed happy at least. Planted it kinda late though so it only got to like 40 cm or so. But im seeing that as proof that its possible

I think ill just get as many different autos as i can and then wait for nature to do its work and see wich strain were ment for my epic mission up north! :amazon:

Speaking of which. I got an update from MrMcG on the SRxOGK.. He said they are very very resistant to mold. He said all of his other plants are head to toe in powder mildew, but the Auto Oger`s are green and clear..

You read how some strains are resistant.. But it`s neat to hear a result like that.. Might help him out in the UK with those damp fall seasons.

Maybe i should get them out quick time. If they are showing resistance like that.. It would be a nice thing to carry in an auto, since LR deals soo poorly with mold.

Hi!
Yeah, sun is getting stronger & plans swirling in my head..
What are you ColdCountry people planning?!

I was supposed to go site-hunting this mornin..then the rain started. Ha!
Tomorrow,then? :hump:

Ohh - longing for Black Dragons.. this year i´ll try S60 up in some HUGE fir - trees-
inspired by Bom! His tree-grow was mold-free last year, ..
Then i have my own strange DR Sat. of course.. still have a 20-30 seeds left!
