Grow Room The Cab in the Woods | Dutch Passion DP & WW

Small, but good looking grow. Really waiting forward for smoke report. Wonder, what fermented juice have done to taste. Couple of days ago gave mine version of brown sugar/honey/banana to my ladies. But have to wait 1,5-2 weeks till harvest.

By the way - is some prolonged dark period prior to cut down beneficial to trichs or smth else?

Supposedly - it stresses the plant to increase resin production their last few days.

At least the aromas explode during dark and the buds are supposed to taste better if you cut before the lights come on. There's a lot of talk about trichome increase too but I had absolutely none with my last grow where I kept the plant in the dark for 48 hours with before & after pictures.
I'm pretty excited about the smoke quality too. As soon as I gave them the first dose the amount of smell skyrocketed.

I was checking out the Durban Poison's roots after harvesting and spotted something interesting... I wonder what causes this... WW didn't have it. (I'm talking about the clump thing, not the tiny branch :D)

Here's how she liked the Blumat

Hey WW I just read through the whole thread and I was wondering if you ever figured out what was causing the loss of colour on the leaves?

The reason I ask is that I have had seen similar symptom on my plants in the past and it turned out to be a soil ph problem, my ones had a low soil ph and when I added some lime to the soil the new growth came through nice and green again.

Just thought I would mention it as it may help you with your next grow

By the way - did you added ferm. juice till last watering or gave just plain water for last time?

I don't know, really. My best guess was and still would be an uneven and inadequate supply of nitrogen since I don't think I had any actual pH problems. When you added lime, could it have been the additional calcium that fixed the problem or are you certain it's because you buffered the pH? I've never seen a pH problem cause symptoms like this, but I'm going to pay some extra attention to this during my next grow. I think these plants were short on calcium which also may have caused them to go pale. I made some calcium supplement which I'm going to try out so we'll see.

Thanks!

I stopped giving them anything about a week before harvest so they only got plain water through the Blumats. The juice was the last thing I gave them.

Final results are in with WW weighing in at 3.1g and DP at 7.3g.

Slightly disappointing at first, but I had some bits and pieces fall off the Durban Poison and within 5 minutes it was clear that it might very well be the best weed I've smoked so far. Out of this world.
:jaw:

10 grams using a defective light, damn fine I'd say!

Thanks! I think the spectrum also had too much blue because majority of these buds are really airy but fortunately I have the Blackstar now!
