I had always wanted to grow. So, I finally got up on October 1st 2020 and set a plan of action. A homie do list if you will. I hit up the hand dandy YouTube, and began to research DIY growing methods. I figured I start with a box, I lined that box with aluminum foil, and ordered 2 fans for circulation and a screw in light bulb off of Amazon. The wheels were in motion, at this point no looking back. I got my seeds and proceed to plant. I wasn't aware that the soil I had purchased was a bad idea. Organic Miracle Grow Soil. Either way it was a direction, a path if you will. I dropped some water in some rock wool cubes and dropped in a seed that resembled a watermelon. 4 days later up from the wool came a beauty of a plant. The germination has begun. I dropped the rockwool cube in a 5 gal cloth pot, and the process has begun. Flipped on the grow light, and began to dream of what this moment could and will be. These are auto flowers at 2 weeks, yes they are small, yes they skimpy. But, they are mine. Work in progress YES. Will they get better from here on out? Answer is yes

Welcome to the gang @ArchieMeatus. :welcome::welcome:There is lots of help available here to keep you pointed in the right direction, so reach out whenever you want to.

All grows, but especially the first few are learning experiences, so just settle in for some education and fun. Be warned though, growing is a hard habit to break once it grabs you. :pighug:

Another Day
So, I woke up this morning and all I could do was think of what was discussed lastnight in chat. I added height to my pot, and dropped the light down a bit to around 9 or so inches above the plant. I'll let you know if a few days what I have discovered. Cheers

Good growing to ya. I remember the excitement at my first glimpse of a seedling and dreams of smoking that first plant! You're hooked.

Continuing, I dropped that light and raised the pot, o my o my she is on the rise. From, damn near dead, to super thrive. My plant has come back alive..
