Completed The 2023 Outdoor Auto-Photo Competition!

@Waira Weekly Update @MasonJarOG

🍯 🦡 - out and harvested as previously mentioned.

Day 78 and 304 is almost done and OGAutoChem is not… 304 is an absolute beauty and really a true effortless auto in organic soil. Outdoor growers dream that’s done in under 90 days. If you haven’t picked any of this up I’d get it.

OG is a beast and just packing the flowers on and densely. Tough decision to make on a final selection of an auto.

The 304 is looking pretty greasy... :headbang:

Outdoor autos are in full flower!
Outstanding OG auto's mate! :greenthumb: ...Are those GroDan or rockwool cubes they were started in?
There's a lot of plant in those pots,... I curious about your soil and nutes- :smokeit:

She's looking frosty and stanky -

Devil's cream 2017 outdoor garden.
The whole Red Family of Sweets is pretty damn nice - I've grown several... The older ones aren't the most potent, but the aroma's were enticing and there's a unique base line profile to them I found. The pigment density can be off the charts on some of the pheno's; the Bloody Skunk I grew was almost black, peep's tripped on her looks!
I think you'd enjoy that Red Mandarine F1FV, she'll bring color, speed and excellent aroma to the table... orange and licorice with the dried bud, live plant stem rub was straight orange peel--amazing!
Super nice Waira, the girls are looking great.

They all seem to have your signature manipulation style. Kind of reminds me of a table with an a umbrella so to speak, I guess. Well the center main stock go's straight up. The lower branches seem to be manipulated outward.

I like the style of your manipulation grasshopper... 👽📡💰
 - that's grassmokah,...

Thanks GTG, I have just transplanted and now need to get deeper in there with that branch bending... size restrictions lead to congested structure, sometimes less than stellar branching. That I find is cultivar dependent!
Some do the job themselves too... This year UEL and Asian Haze are shaping up just right... few others, the branching is slow to come, harder to work... it's why I use those styro wedges sometimes, but what PITA they are to make and fit! Half the time the wind and motion knocks them free, and you have to be very careful later on to not overstress the juncture at the main stem, or it breaks easily...

I'm hoping the topping effect picks the hell up soon, maybe the transplanting will help. They have been shit lousy to get busy expanding those laterals! I guess what happened with the Garlicane and Cherry WiFi's and those stalled out burned tops and the rocket fast effect topping had on them was unusual... maybe they hormones were already shifting and the topping just kicked it into overdrive.
The healthy tops on these are not reacting at alla the same way- damned irritating and time's a'wastin'!

The skunk is the gold standard... Everybody that I talk to that grew up with weed always talks about the skunk never hear nothing about anything else. Even Colombian gold which was a standard Acapulco Gold and Panama redbud back then in the '80s and '70s some people don't even remember them? what the hell...

But it seems like everybody remembers skunk, Thai stick, and Acapulco Gold and I suppose Hawaiian Maui wowie as well... It seems like when people reminisce back those are the ones they reminisce back to the most.
Those were classics alright! The whole culture of their culture has changed though, and the demand for reliable quality has put them into the obscure category these days...
Finding real deal is not easy! I grew Barney's farm AG, had 3, 2 were decidedly hybrid dominant with whatever they crossed into it, but 1 was a proper rep'! Plant was lean fingered and bushy...buds and aroma were pretty spot on, this one was a sweet floral-banana bubblegum smell and such a pleasant dreamy uppy high!
My old schooler friends LOVED her!
The hybrids were totally different... sharp metallic citrus aroma, denser bud, hybrid plant structure... only one finished, rot killed the other and mostly because it was slower, odd as it seems!
The high was wicked, very jittery and heart racey, major psychoactivity- 😵‍💫- especially at first... it took 2+months for it to calm down enough to really enjoy...

That other forum isa private run gig, I'm just a McMember there-... I can't link into it, and joining is something of a task...
When I get a chance though, I'll see if I can get some cultivar info to share...
@Waira weekly udpate of the zoo :smokeit:
:hump: coming along nicely mate!
Wonky pheno luck happens, even with the good'un's... That AutoWreck is one, my Sour Strawburied in another... the bitch is you can't tell sometimes until you're deep into it! ....guess we'll see if you end up with the goods at the end... there's time to finish well yet!

Honey Badger is done and out! I’m guessing part of the reason this one didn’t get bigger is the root system was pretty small and pulled out of the 7 gal easily. Typically a good root system is hard to pull out without taking the whole bag of soil with it. As you can see the rest of the girls have been doing just fun in this soil.
You too Mason, that wasn't a prime pheno to say the least... She filled out better than I expected frankly, testament to your grow mojo!

>>> :pause: gotta get busy here, BBL! :smokeout:

TY @Growtogrow for the rep. This season has been excellent for growing hot sunny and dry. The Cherry apple fritter had one branch on the back side break during the last storm. I supported it with a bamboo stake and plastic ties. :toke:
@MasonJarOG the fence is a testament to my procrastination issues. I have had the vertical wood stacked in the backyard for years. :pass:
Happy Farming :smokeit:

Thank you Wiara!

Girls were all germinated in 1.5 Grodan rockwool starter cubes then placed into the Grodan 4x4” blocks directly after sprouting. The 4x4” blocks take up very little space and can be set on just about any substrate I wish to grow in, I also have 100% control of what I’m feeding them, experience fast growth, they hold moisture well and best of all no risk of transplant shock or stunted growth.
After the roots penetrated through the bottom of the 4x4” block around day 8 they were placed on 2 gallon plastic grow bags filled with Cloud Coir coco/perlite mix. Started to train them around day 15 with only 1 bent coat hanger per plant and kept the main tops horizontal for 10-12 days to promote more top nodes and side branching.
Running a whole General Hydroponics lineup with GH Flora Nova Grow/Bloom as my main NPK and vegged them really hard when they were young with Nova Grow, GH Rapid Start, Armor SI, GH Floralicious, Mykos and Clonex solution. Also had them up to 1.3EC by day 10 and was fertigating 3 times a day. Mixing my nutes in 160 PPM tap water that I dechlorinate with an air pump the night before and the 7 plants are currently drinking 15-20 gallons a day depending on how hot it is outside.
After they finished their preflower stretch I switched them from Flora Nova Grow to Nova Bloom, GH Flora Nectar for carbohydrate supplementation and GH Koolbloom for their PK booster. I cut the Rapid Start, Clonex Solution and Mykos from their diet around the second week of flower but continuing the GH Floralicious throughout the grow.
Been fogging with BT Thuricide for cannabis eating caterpillar prevention every week but they still got to a couple of the buds. Overall doing well though…. plants would have definitely been eaten alive by now if it wasn’t for all the preventative spraying.

Damn, really?! 109 days and not done yet isn't cutting it for an auto - :nono:
...noted on the touchiness, seems to be a trend forming with this one... Seems odd to me, since the photo was a tolerant grower, and the auto parent wouldn't like be either?

Great season so far PG! :headbang: ... that OA has hooked me with the aroma profile, what a delicious combo! I've only even had 1 plant with apricot aroma, uncanny fresh fruit that is: SexBud (Female seeds)... excellent smoke too!
...you know, looking at both those purple girls,...View attachment 1616856... I'm thinking more and more there could have been a mix-up with the seeds or labeling at your end? All it takes is a 1 second stoner moment!
Between the looks/bud structure, build, ripeness stage and aroma,...Those short stubby pistils are another tell, they are uncommon and the odds of two totally unrelated crosses showing all these similarities is rather unlikely... It begs the question for sure!

This quest is on the minds of many I know! There's a whole monster thread on this at another forum I'm at... Road Kill Skunk it what it started out as, but since "skunk" can show in a variety of cultivars, it expanded into those as well... The gist I got was there's no "sure thing" cultivar (surprise surprise, right?) and what-all aroma 's come with it... certainly some cultivars are better bets than others. It's been a while since I looked it over, so I'll go check it out and see if there's some solid bets!
That site is doing server upgrades currently so it'll be a few days....

 ... reminds me, I have a single seed of Coked Out Girlscout!
Sounds like that girl is grinding hormonal gears man,... more often than not reveg'ed plants don't make on-par bud, but others factors are in play including how severely the dial went back and forth. Ride her out a while and see, why not? :smoker1:

Thanks brudda mine, it does seem a bit behind sched' this year, but that's to be expected with different cultivars and conditions each year. general timing has been close,... We'll see! 3/7 are semi-auto's, 2 others are known speed queens (UEL and Sour Strawburied)...
I might have been wiser to start sooner to test out when a few of them would trigger into bloom, early-like... but then I'm angling against large size too, so it's a tough call all things considered!
UEL I want bigger, hoping she veg's long enough to bulk up. SS is a fucking runt pheno, my bad luck again- :cuss:--I wanted extra of that, pending the aroma outcome of course...No telling when she'll switch, later I hope for the same reason...

Your gals are looking fine-ass as usual! And a more manageable size so far-?

Is she out of production? Seedsman is carried by many banks, with some luck it's still out there even if the source is out... it's a classic, hopefully a new batch is getting made!

... I like Tyson's face :smokeit:-- "whatcha doin' Pa?"

I second your comments on Skunk Hero! :greenthumb:a smashing show, made with love and skill by Jean.... View attachment 1616885 to both ya's!
I lament not getting to his FV's this year, just too many seeds/obligations to run the endless backlog...
Legend is worthy too GTG, a wild terp ride! Mine ended up with amazing orange cranberry scone aroma, not typical at all, but there it was... Smoke is tops too!
I don't know.I steadily have two seeds of Orange apricot glue and one seeds of Purple lemonade auto solely Nemo auto from Exclusive seeds was can be counterchange :joy:

@Waira update on the outdoor photoperiods
Devils Lettuce S1 is looking very scrubby! She's about as tall as me so I'm guessing around 6 ft and just starting to stretch a bit. I can't wait to see its flower formation hopefully she stacks up outdoors the same as indoors.

Skunk Hero 22 F1 is a beastly plant. She's taller than me and stretching like crazy daily. Im looking at an easy 3 lbs off this one if i had to assume atm.
20230730_161544.jpg

Speed Racer S1 is still being a bit cranky but has transitioned very fast as I'm still fighting some deficiencies. She's a decent size shrub despite her anger lol.

The tester outdoor Cream Cheeze F1Fv has a great structure and is flowering fast and early. This is my crossing of Sweet Seeds Zkittlez/ Sweet Zenzation x Cream Cheese auto which is Blue Cheese auto x RBF auto. It smells amazing like a peppery creamy gas.

The Crazy Kush I pulled from the comp to replace with the Devils lettuce is really shaping up after it revegged. I should still see a decent yield off her and wow does she stink already. Like a skunky gassy kush aroma.
