Completed The 2021 Outdoor Auto/Photo Competition!

Plugging along
 Too funny GH! ... a study in contrast,...:vibe::rolleyes2: ... that girl will be stunning when she's loaded up!
I had to harvest The Duke a week or so early I was getting a bit of bud rot with all the rain n cold nights I've been having in lower Michigan. Probably not my battle contender but I wanted to post a few pics. @Waira a small update on the OD autos. I'm down to What's My Name and the Grape Cheese.
I swear the weather this year has been batshit WTF-is-happening-now cray-cray worldwide! :nono:
I see how lush and green the whole area is GTG, looks like Spring...
Fingers crossed for better weather and keep fighting the Phyter fight my man! ... Do you think it's helping so far?
And I think that's just what Asian Haze is doing. I could finally see fine hairs at the first node down from the new growth, just like the one in the 15 gal pot. That's makes me happy and a relief. I kinda think this strain goes into flower stretch before she shows sex and keeps it running for a while. The 15 gal Asian Haze is still running along at her same hot pace
I was able to put the netting on the first level by installing it on the 'square frame' and using garden velcro tape, I was able to stretch out the center square enough to get the plant through the opening. That was more flexible that my first thought of using bungee cords. Good thing I couldn't find them! LOL!
Her Thai ancestry has major stretchers in them, 3x during bloom! This clearly favors the parent photo vs. you speedy smaller girl. 20/20 hindsight, should topped her! See, that's what gets your goat; if you'd have topped the other one, she'd be a wee bush now and it would NOT have been a good call-... And here's the other one blowing past the netting already!
You should see some of the landrace stuff others are growing elsewhere I'm at- :yoinks::haha: ...they are practically weaving the slender bloom stems to contain and control it! ...16 weeks bloom and going... gotta LOVE that specialty stuff and the buzz it offers to say the least!

>>> snapped a few pics of my contenders... white things are styro wedges to force branches down and out some -->

Plants are looking great bud! The Phyter is definitely working O.T... I would hate to think of how they would have been doing without it. I grabbed some industrial plastic sheeting from the shop for the photoperiods to cover them up when flowering starts if need be. Its surely been weird summer weather we've been getting down into the mid to high 50's at night which is wacky for this time of year and all the rain it was a not good combo for the flowering auto's. No PM or any other issues though which is good. The bud rot only has affected a couple of them though.

Very nice structure!!!!!!:headbang::headbang::thumbsup:

I like my canna like my women......sturdy!:eyebrows::biggrin:
I'm so tempted to train alot, but I'm just going to guide these two girls a little bit. I'm trying to just get an idea of what the plant wants to tend to do naturally the first time I grow them. I'll kinda know what that pheno will tend to do.

I'm happy that I've done little to these two haze girls. I think they will look very pretty here soon.

I don't know if I posted here, but the EarthBox Haze girl started showing sex just like the other. The first node below the very new growth showing little hairs and then she'll at the ends of the branches at the new growth........starting at the top, but then sorta all ends showing at once.......just in a few short hours. I've checked in the morning and you can easily see the spread by mid afternoon. Cool as hell!
I checked her height just after dawn this morning. She was 52in late Sunday, just before sunset. She was 57 inches this morning! LOL!

Best thing is that I'm having fun and enjoying the grow. :cools::hothot:

I really appreciate getting me hooked up with the seeds :headbang::headbang::toke::toke:

@Waira Update on the OD photo's
Ethos Big Detroit Energy is into some crazy stretch no spears yet on any of the photo girls. Lots of full tilt growth going on everywhere...
DSCN2081.JPG

Banana Daddy caught up very fast. I can't wait to see some flowers on these girls they are beautifully stacked to produce nice bouquets!
DSCN2082.JPG

Lilac Diesel has gone crazy and taken up its whole cubical Im sure glad I did all the trellis early on these girls are ready to get fat and heavy!
DSCN2080.JPG

I got a few more tricks up my sleeve if the weather doesn't start to cooperate with me soon with all this rain its been nice the last few days but rain again in the forecast. The plants are all very healthy probably one of my best years for plant health since I went full sun hopefully I can keep it that way for the flowering season....

Is there anyway to put up a rain fly over them? I'd have no chance at all without doing that here on the outside plants.
Those are beautiful beasts. :d5:

Thanks bud! I have some thick industrial plastic I plan on at least making a cover over them and Ive always wanted a gas powered leaf blower its the perfect reason to go buy one this year.... I can probably get enough of the plastic to cover the 30 x 30 inner cage, the plants I have on the outer cage are a little smaller so they should be easer to manage any issues without covering. I had a deer in my outer cage last night messing up and eating a bunch of my sweet corn! He's a goner come bow season!

Corn fed deer is good, but peanut fed deer is a very different animal. I've never seen deer with so much fat and the taste.............Mom's chicken fried backstrap was so damn good! I just ate and I'm salivating thinking about it. The biggest thing was she beat the hell outta of it and let it soak in buttermilk from one night to the next. That was good! I knew not to miss supper the next day! LOL!

Love me some smoke dried deer meat off a smoking rack - doesn't get much better than that!

What I saw in me stoner vision is a couple 8 or 10 foot 2x4's spaced in the middle of opposite sides of a cage, then a pipe across the top, connecting the two. Then stretch a tarp or that industrial plastic over that like an A .. and have one of the closed sides facing the direction most of the rainy weather comes from.

Now ya gonna have a big arse blow dryer as well.. Hit em hard after the rains for sure!
