Hi Mr Bill, I love the @Rain Science bags. I was involved in the test back in winter of 2019 (https://www.autoflower.org/threads/rain-science-grow-bags-communal-test-thread.69515/) and I've been an advocate and buyer ever since. Its all that I purchase now. I prefer them over my original felt/cloth bags, they breathe better. I prefer them over my airpots, they hold more medium per size and don't leak water & dirt all over everything. I prefer them over my autopots, they breathe better and and trivial to more around to different positions or locations (or course, you can't beat the convenience of the AutoPots' bottom feeding system). That ocean shot is gonna be hard to beat when those girls get close to harvest!
How do you like the Rain Science bags ?
I'm liking mine so far. I'm a big pot guy. I'm doing a test of 4 10gal not fully filled for room for top dressings. I am making sure I add yucca every watering to keep water better distributed. When they need watering, I work the outside first with my sprayer. After an even top spraying I wait 30min or so while I'm doing other things. I usually only top water once during a watering. I then bottom water a set amount and observer how quickly it absorbs it and go fro there after waiting for it to distribute it. It just takes a little working with that particular size bag and that particular media and observing how the combo handles moisture.Hi Mr Bill, I love the @Rain Science bags. I use the 3 gallon Rain Science bags for my typical indoor autoflower grows. I've got a couple of 5 gallons that I used periodically, especially for indoor photoperiod plants. But for this grow, my 1st true outdoor effort, I decided to purchase a set of four 10 gallon bags. So far, very happy.
BTW, I ALWAYS get them with the grommets installed -- works so well for LST work. One time, early on, I tried to install my own grommets. Ugh, not worth the effort; just pony-up the couple of bucks to have it done professionally.
