It's day to day right now. So far, so good. Maybe if the other one that was in the GH was outside and being Phyter treated, it would have finished already instead of rotting away, one branch at a time There is actually a couple ounces left on the plant and still trying to finish. And the one outdoors is in the earth It was a bit crowded for 3 photos out there
Ya an Cookie monster? I got nuttin to say on that either, 'cept the GH smells like a candy shop in Mexicali :smoking: If she finishes, her budz will be like cotton candy in more ways than one
We will have to ruminate further on better, more reliable choices for you mate... I have resources at another private forum for cultivar recommendations, maybe seeds too... Female's Skunk Special and Mimosa Champagne performed very well for me, resistant and fast (both under 6 weeks bloom). Real Gorilla Seeds is worth a look, and I can chat with Panik directly elsewhere too...
Your better EBBCS looks a lot like mine, so I think that will land well enough for you ( ditto on BBgum),.... I see what ya mean on Cookie FV, not a fan of the cold I think! Plus, P mobility and metabolism really takes a dive in cold weather, which will leafy-up buds....
Not bad for a mid-July hatching!
Ive been talking with Collin a little bit from Ethos on IG and have shown him a few of the pics from the OD girls. I will try to reach out to him again and see if he would be interested in stopping in at AFN .... Yeah I do believe that I will be using the Banana Daddy this year for the picture poll I just cant get over the purple fat ass buds that she pounded out this year..... I ran both the Sweet Zkittlez and FV Green Poison from Sweet Seeds this year when I finally got the prize seeds around June I popped one of each and got them out as fast as I could. Both are superb smoke the sweet Zkittlez didn't put out much aroma but is super frosty and the high is wow with a bit of anxiety crossed with a pounding heart lol she's legit! The FV Green Poison is also Yum reminds me of a cheese strain with that funky rotten foot cheese aroma and the high is a bit gentler and relaxing with some munchies..... If I were to choose a strain to be tested at a lab though I would have to choose Lilac Diesel for that top spot. The terps are amazing the high is unbeatable and she threw down in the weight department also. I have been reading a lot lately about how big plants loose some of there genetic potential due to size and there is a lot of nonsense in everything I have read so far about big plants. I would gladly take the Pepsi Challenge any time anywhere with my big plants V a smaller plant to put all of that BS to bed about bigger plants being less potent and not as terpy.
I feel ya on the trim jail also I have been trimming between 4- 6 oz every day for weeks now and I still have a ton of material to get through then still have to make hash and press rosin, I will be busy through the winter!
Get at me through PM and we can talk biz! I'm definitely down to throw in some prize beans again this year, everyone did a great job this year getting through another fun and exciting Outdoor season!
Ah, that's great! No doubt he sees a shit-ton of pic from all over, but not many OD NE-USA tough weather condition grows with those choices and results...
I think somebody in the past has talked with him about AFN, but nothing came of it?
The Sweets, interesting results,... Zkitt's should have reeked to high hell, so who know's what happened there... GPF1FV, you got a weird pheno or a weird nose if you smell cheese, all I ever had from that usually very consistent cross is deep sweet fruit punch, kaffir lime, lychee... POI sounds typical though, she's night bud for sure but not Ambien-heavy!
The Lilac is a shoo-in for next season, if you have a couple beans to spare, hang onto them and we will chat-
.... I would love to see you run some LBH fem's, this ChemDSDHz is very nice, and you see Bill's juicy Asian Hz girl too. And there's a GP-Haze cross as well BTW! I almost ran that, but wanted the other girl just a bit more...
The only talk-down about big plants I hear is in hydro, which I think has some merit ( but hardly dogma!), but that's a world and a half different from an OD Sun grown soil queen, regardless of size... If it's well fed and healthy, nothing to stop it for being as good as any smaller pot grown princess!
I stop bitching
quick-like when I see the TASK set before you my friend! You're in
Trim Prison, forget county jail
And than you again brother for offering up your Goods as prizes, these will be a real treat for winners, and I hope brings you some more bizz as well!
Been a blast
Already smoked some of Bertha my entry. She is a Northern Lights photo sticky smooooth and powerful
... a fine landing GH! That NL looks delish', making me grind on growing one of the two I have sitting here now next year.. A classic I have yet to grow, shockingly!
What's her aroma and high like?
Great to have to join the fun again mate! Tuck your Poll pics in the Depot thread when you can if you haven't yet (I'm so behind!)...
Some lessons learned this year…
1.You can’t Escape rot when temps drop
2. CannaControl is a solid fungicide and insecticide
3. Autos & Fast versions probably my best option
4. Raspberry Parfait definitely regrow it seemed to repel the rain and elements extremely well.
5.
J, soy aminos a great addition to the waterings
Raspberry Parfait Official Live Shot
you can't help yourself, huh-
big'uns grow big'uns
... buds look pukka my man, how's she smell at harvest?
Miss Haze is hanging on the clothes drying stand getting blown by my "King of Fans" that I used at the drag strip on the lowest setting. Best damn fan EVER! I've had that fan since the last of the racing season in 2004. There's no telling how many hours are on that fan! She got a bucket wash, H2O2 water, Baking soda and vinegar water and two plain water rinses. I quickly rough trimmed fairly close, but stayed away from her sugar leaves.................she has a lot of sugar leaves wif sugar.
I can tell you one thing about the smell on this girl. She let out a "terp scream" this morning when I chopped her down branch by branch. NEVER smelled that smell from her. There was no mistaking it. It was like really strong fresh sweetened lemonade. There were underlying slight smells, with slight touch of pine and some sweet fruit smell that kinda reminded me of plumbs. No unpleasant smells at all with this girl. I'll work on the smell when some of her buds are in paper bags. I'm not gonna trim up too many buds for flower. I'm way too OCD to trim up a bunch of hazey buds.
She'll make some great hash. Her sis made great hash with her trichs trending to be smaller than some girls I've ran. We'll see if the big girl runs the same.. If the store has it in stock, I'll dry ice shake her tomorrow. and squish that night. I wanna see how fresh hash squishes VS aged. There will be some yummy smells with that for sure.
A few pics later. I gotta shower, change clothes and go to town. I don't need little old ladies and cops looking funny at me because I smell like a canna whorehouse. I' still have to go thru the buds of Stomper I chopped yesterday for seeds. At least I got a few viable seeds before the pain told me to stop. I hope to get the buds in bags and the hash material in the freezer before I hit the bed.
I have some full sun, just not that many hours. The pine trees surrounding me shades them a lot. They might get 4-5hrs non-shaded full sun. There's no doubt in my mind that this strain would rock in full sun and takes the heat.
..outstanding run Bill, that made AHz and LBH look very good!
Oh my yes, nothing releases the full aroma blast like harvesting,... it's the amount of terp's, and the mixing of them and the air exposure that really tell you what's going on! And what a satisfying aroma too, rich lemon is always welcome and will get rave reviews I'm sure -
I have this Fast Lemon Drizzle to try next year, so I hope to savor that when the time comes!
The rosin will be plain dangerous, and so damn tasty you will hurt yourself for sure-
..dab some under your snoot like Mentholatum!
*** a note to all contestants, which I forgot earlier: Waira will participate in the Poll, but just for fun, I will not take prizes as usual ... I am well set already, so those will be passed onto you folks!
>>> now for some real Sativa eye-humping on these Doors x Orig, Haze, a nearly pure true OHz cross beautifully worked by a private breeder questing for his beloved '70's high found in the early Haze's from that era... this was a "research" cross, but turned out so well it's now a real jewel in the Haze crown because of her qualities and the unbelievable speed in bloom!
Consider the reverse cross of this, same parents, OHz x Doors : I'm seeing those go 120-140 days in bloom alone, that's longer than these two have been alive! I say they will both be done before months end, about 8 weeks bloom .... lovely aroma, mango-ish and that classic Hazey background ( incense, citrus, floral)
