Extraction THCa crystal unexpected result

I wish I took pictures but I didn't.

So I tried something and had a unexpected result. I took some THCa crystal and mixed it in with some real budder rosin. Looked like peanut butter consistency and not horribly sticky at room temp.

I was expecting the same consistency but with white chunks mixes throughout. Instead it's like it melted the rosin! The amount of rosin looked a lot less and it was a lot runnier consistency.

Anyone have any ideas why?

Maybe the THCa lowered the melting point of the rosin?

Remember, like dissolves like. Budder rosin and THCa crystal are rather similar, each mostly THCa, so they can mix and dissolve each other. Plus rosin also contains diverse terpenes, most of which are naturally liquid at room temperature; and with cannabinoids also being terpenes are surely good THCa/cannabinoid solvents.

If you play around with mixing and different temperature changes, you can probably get a variety of physical forms (oil, budder, crystals, etc.).

you made the crystals by base-roisin removed fats,waxes,lipids etc to end up with crystals.then added back into a base roisin.
crystals first got soaked then re-disolved by fats,waxes,lipids back into a riiosin base.
earwax,budder,butter,snap crackle and pop and 10 other words to descride the consistancy/look/feel of extracts/concentrates.
rosin crystals have a powdery but stuck together consistancy.
crystals as in crystals in sauce is made from a base of bho/pho... butane......and i cant show or describe how that is done here as its BHO (not allowed on open forum) you can ask to have access to the bho section....
good luck n keep er lit ............but not around bho/eth/alc extractions as that would be silly.could end up in a lose of eyebrows,fingers or worse.

So I gave this a try again and got my expected result and not what happened last time. Difference are a different strain to create the crystal and ambiet temp is about 6f cooler.
