Testing / Selecting MOB (Maine's Own Blueberry) - from The Medicine Man 08 18 2012

Howdy b0b and Jm- :tiphat: ...for my part, I've found my two MoB's to be similar in potency, and I'd say they were comparable to tested hybrid strains I've tried that were in the upper 'teen's %THC,... I get a pretty heady buzz from MoB, not as indica body-heavy as I was expecting, but wonderful nevertheless... I'm tempted to put my $$ where my mouth is, and send a sample to Steep Hill Labs, in Oakland CA... 2013 pricing was $50-$75, 1-1.5g sample depending on methodology/equipment....

yield was good for the size containers they were in and a transitional program... think it was 1/2 p for 2 plants... that pheno was the purples... OMG!!!!!!!!

hey throw a pic of yours up... cuz this one ihave sounds like the same GENO !!!!! :dance2:

maybe we can cross the 2 for stability if they carry the same good shit as the other one... im curious if this will purple or not... hehhe

:dance2: :bone:

throwing up a pic is doubtful , im old and safety/paranoia is whats kept me safe all these years lol , plus due to some life/situation/legal changes going on im semi retiring so most everything has been sent 12/12 and unfortunately there are far more plants in the given space/spaces then there should be , my MOB seed plant will get good lighting for the second half of flowering , however right now she isnt getting what she should be and as much as i hate doing so , ive cut her big (huge) fat leaves off , so long story short , she wouldnt be as nice in a pic as she could have been

we can pm back n forth and maybe i could throw up some pics in pm , but wont be for a couple weeks as i can barely reach her to water , my watering can is big and done right can reach a pot with the water quite a distance away , getting a lot on the ground and surrounding plants lol

not ideal but what ive been forced into

peace

I had 8 seeds from TMM. Out of these 8 seeds half were purple, with half of those very dark to near black, the other 4 were green to lavender colored, Original mob clone from ME was not colored.(green pheno). The green has the best potency, but in the S2 potency was way better spread as I selected the most potent pheno when I self'ed the strain for the S2. I chose a lavender colored pheno, pics are here somewhere. IMO this strain should be breed to lavender not purple for one its the direction I chose, with is one F cycle closer to homo. Now the background... I feel this strain was definitively part DP purple skunk from the 90s, its the only strain from the time period where that high gloss purple/black was present, the fruity flavor that is in ALL phenos might be DJ's blueberry it would explain the rare hermi late nanner, as the blueberry was a carrier, and maybe very prone to throwing them at any PH above 7. As some of you know my well water is ph 9.55 and the second I water most strains with it plain the bust a nut late on. The nutter rate at this point seems to be somewhere between 1 in 20-50 seeds, not bad but not great. If clone stress testing was done now at S2 then by S3 it might be 1 in 50-100, because each F-stop mean 50% more homo.

hey guy's tmm is doing well, he has expanded his juice bar into a full fledged veggie restaruant, and is eyeing a second location!
my mob, came from a outdoor grower, that had been growing it outdoor's (here in maine) for over 30 year's, he is in his seventie's, and if i remember correctly, he said the strain came from california breeder's in the eightie's :smokebuds:mine had the pastel color.
