no, i'm not looking for photos from another blog. I have 3 entries in the one blog, and they each have photos in them. But it doesnt make sense to me that you can only see the photos for the entry you are looking at in the gallery. You would think that you would be able to see all photos posted to that blog in the blog gallery. But theres more than just that with the entry i showed you. there are a total of 5 embedded photos that were in a personal ambum of mine, that I put in that entry because they are photos of the mother, and the aunt of my breeding project. You can't see those at all in the gallery, even though i'm on the entry that I posted them in. I'm VERY confused. The other blogs have the same thing going. the two photos you saw in the screenshot are the two it made me upload, even though it had 5 on there from my album.

you can see all of them when you read the entry.. check it out. But only the 2 i uploaded there show in the gallery. its WEIRD
Ok I get you now there's probably some more work they need to do on the back end of those blogs just like how they added in the discussion so then now they're actually tied into the journals were before that was wasn't feature

@Steviestash Yeah, its a work in progress. I'm glad they got this going, because I've been battling with the photos since I started the blogs, and it was starting to upset me. This is a good way to find out where the bugs are, and what we all like to use as far as features. It would also be really helpful to just be able to add photos straight to the blog gallery, and put them in individual entries as needed, or leave them there without even putting them in an entry. I can see once they get the bugs out of this, its going to be a great organization tool.

@Lilly_of_the_Zoo so your not using the pages for updates but instead making new entries do you like it more that way

@Steviestash It keeps it organizeed better. When you click on your individual blog from the list of them, it shows all the entries in order, with the first at the bottom. If you just write in an update on the page, it doesnt show up there. If you make each one an entry, then someone can go to the page for your blog and scroll down to find the week/entry/update they want to look at.

Yeah I find cleaner looking the other way where you have one entry and then the updates in that one entry as pages instead of however many entries like for my fastbuds one I rather have one blog entry for fastbuds with 7 pages in it as weekly updates then seven blog entries for the same plant but I guess it depends on how you set up your blog it will definitely be interesting once things really get going and if some new features there that we would be able to use once they get it all sorted

I didn't exactly set out to do it differently than everyone else. I think because I've not posted in here a whole lot, I just started posting in the blog like I have in other blog sites. You have a blog, like a notebook, and each entry is like a page. If you try to write your whole report on one page, it gets messy. How do you post separate pages on an entry anyways? Are you talking about the discussion section? that part confuses me. You post an antry to your blog... then go to the forum to post the updates? I think if youre posting in blogs, then you should keep it to the blog functions.. does that make sense? like I shouldnt be able to pick up my forum 'notebook' and write n it, only to have the words appear in my blog 'notebook'. It seems a little confusing to have it able to post to the blog pages from the forum, unless its just in the chat section of it.

@Steviestash I think once people get more used to the blogs, they will stop looking in the forum for the blog pages, and instgead just head straight to the list of blogs, click on the blog they want (the entire blog is like the original forum post, with entries being like forum updates to a thread) Then they will have a list of entries to that blog(week 1, week 2, etc.) and be able to flip back and forth through the weeks to check development, look in the gallery to see all the photos posted to that blog, I thought when I first posted my breeding journal that the forum was a little unwieldy for something thats going to get regular updates, and have a good sized stash of photos to it. This really is going to be a LOT better for ongoing stories and such, once we get used to it. I've only got a leg up on ppl because I'm not used to posting on the forum anyways. I know blogs, and the format of it is much more familiar to me than the forums. This is the first forum ive belonged to. heck, my twitter is only a couple of months old.

Im not

Im not saying what your doing is wrong or different then anyone else it's definitely a new system that people haven't really gotten used to or work around with this is what I mean about pages

If you click those three dots with the arrow pointing down I'll bring this Sub menu up then you can click manage pages

Then you can add page for update in the entirety

@Steviestash I see what you mean. U saw something I didnt because I am on a 24'' desktop screen. On my PC there are two large green buttons on the top of my blog list page, one says new blog, the other new entry. I was under the impression that each entry was like a page, but i see where the list is now. There really does need to be some sort of 'how to'.. maybe that's what we are for, though. :p
This is confusing!
Am I going to have to rearrange things again? Maybe thats why only the photos on each entry are showing up instead of all the entries' photos.

@Lilly_of_the_Zoo I think that is what the problem is for your photos and it is a little bit confusing they need a little tutorial on how to use this blog system because I have those green buttons up at the top of my screen to they're just cut out in those pictures and we are the guinea pigs lol
