Tent Questions

Hi all...I didn't see anything specific on tent set ups and so forth...

So I'm going to sticky this thread for any questions and answers that you members with tents, can answer...

Also, if you have any pics of how your tent is set up, please post them...Pictures say a 1000 words...
Basically, as far as pics go, mostly looking for how yours is set up...Not so much about the plants...

Thanks for your cooperation and I hope this thread gets the attention that new tent buyers, like myself, can gain some info...:peace:

Thanks very much for the rep buddy ^_^

Sounds like this will be ideal! 52db with ducting attached should only make a low whoosh sound in the room. Mine is a little louder i think at about 60db on full whack, My bathroom fan is louder and i can't hear my cab outside the room, but it is noticeable inside the room.

Well, you talked me into spending an extra $50 pretty easily Blue:clap: I wanna hate you but you're being too damn helpful!

It's next to the head of my bed but the Duct hole's like 3m from where I sleep and that's closer to a small osilating fan so there's cover noise plus comp running, also I pass out to watching shows on a playlist so just runs in my sleep.

Thanks again. Here's a metaphorical 2nd Max:slap:

hehe :) I try my best!

As for sleeping next to it, i used to sleep next to my cab when i lived in a flat. I found the noise quite nice to sleep to and actually nicely blocked out other ambient noises.
When a grow was finished and the cab was turned off, i found it more difficult to sleep.

Thanks for the metaphorical rep ^_^ hehe that's my first!

If noise is any concern check out duct mufflers. I have 1 that quiets 2 fans could not imagine not having it. Having it means mississ and I can talk at normal levels. Also good time to add a variable speed controller. Lets you have some control of temps. And when you think you are done you will need or want something else.

:peace:

"The List" for things you "need" or want is never ending I hear that!
I have heard and I think seen one of those in a kit for sale but seemed a bit $$$.
You and the Mississ have one hell of a side by side grow going on I can see the need for some noise reduction. I truely hope it's not like that in my room without the muffler.
Ah yes, people often speak of having higher powered gear and running at lower power to decrease noise also. Is this something I could add to the Fan I have linked?

If noise does get to bad I guess I will be willing to take on the thought of a muffler, thank you for throwing that into the ring man!:smokebuds::slap:

Just bought the 6" kit Blue, Vapor, Musturd. wish me all the best. Will definetly get some pics up on my thread, perhaps on here also:dance:

I am somewhat the same with noise, aslong as it's consistant, and not close to peak of either end of the scale.

BTW not sure I'll be getting the air out of my bedroom but thats fine I got a big over powered portable AC next to it

Sweet! :) That will do the job.
I can't vent out of my room either - nothing more suspicious than ducting hanging out of a window lol I just keep my window open.

What AC have you got? Was it pricey? All the ones i'm looking at seem either cheap and rubbish or too expensive and industrial.

I have the DR90 and its holding up nicely..Id say put something down on the floor so you dont scratch up the bottom.I did find some small pin holes around the zipper seam .Also when you do get that neg pressure sucking in you tent walls..I use a bamboo stick to stretch the sides gives a lil more room to grow and keeps the tent from touching the ladies!:karma Cloud::2cents:

image.jpgimage.jpgI just got a 5x9 gorilla grow tent and it's so thick that it lowers the noise a ton. I also have a 6" muffler attached to my fan with my CAN 166 carbon scrubber. I suggest anyone to shop for a muffler because I found one at a hydro shop that was only $30! While they only had one, I was forced to buy one from Phresh and it cost $80. Here are some shots of my tent set up...you can see my carbon scrubber, fan and $30 muffler attached to my lights. Also took a photo of my Lux temp controller. They are like $40 on Amazon and can heat or cool, I have it hooked up to both my intake and exhaust for even pressure when it's on (it's also hooked up to a fan speed controller so if it's too cold outside the fans run slower)
Hope this offers up some ideas...

Two tent set up living example....

Big tent, filter to cooling fan, that only runs when lite is on, to "sealed" air cooled lite to out.

Little tent 4" filter then out,

4' line to a 6" fan (silver), Black hurricane 6' is pulling from the big tent.

Two fans to a wye then a muffler then up thru ceiling into attic

In the attic at the end of the line a backdraft damper.

For temps 40-82 f I pull in fresh air, second story window facing a brickwall, low vis screen in place and a dryer vent hood cover, painted black.

:peace:Keep it fresh

Nice musturd, I pull fresh air 24/7 now into my two rooms. I got a 6" heppa filter to make sure no outdoor pollen or dust get in to the room. And since it's upper 20s here at night now and only 65 in the day, I don't need anything else other then a fan speedster to control the amount of cold air intake. With a fresh air intake like ours there is no need to ever even think of adding c02. Will post pics later of my "organic, hepa filtered, cold air intake." I also run my ducting into my house so I don't have a gas bill for heat, I just recycle the heat from my lights to heat my house in the 8mo of winter here. It did snow last night a already a couple times this week

Thank you Doobieashtray, 215medicineman and Blue n Musturd once again!

@Doobie - What would I be stratching the floor with? For my pots they sit on smooth little plastic trays. Or did you mean Floor Floor like a towel on tiles, then Tent?

@215medicineman - That is a very clean finish in there you have mate!

@Musturd - DAMN MAN! That is some serious air flow and all precautions taken it seems:High 5: Only just thinking now of a 4" filter to 6" fan, Oh well, it came as a set.

Sweet! :) That will do the job.

I hear you on the dodgeyness of the Ducting coming out a window, I have that for my portable AC so it may not meet your needs, the hose of ducting expells heat to the point I have old matress cover over it to instulate and retain the heat(all better now). Also uses a bit of power though I used it alot last summer, aproaching this summer now:Stones slap:
But this is an awesome AC, cools Bedroom in minutes without effort but it was $600-800

Middle one is the one I have, it is for the Bedrooom, unrelated to Tent but sits next to so if heat in here gets bad I can turn that on.

"Sounds" like my problem might be fixed, hope it keeps my inside walls drier:shrug: Time to Wake and Bake.

Sorry I missed your message 3mins after mine Blue LOL I lay down 1-2am to some futurama then awoke 6am with chop, used vaped containers and vapes whip curled up all on my bed:smokebuds:Stoners.. Peace Y'all, can't wait for this kit and will definetly post Pics in this thread.
