Tent Questions

Hi all...I didn't see anything specific on tent set ups and so forth...

So I'm going to sticky this thread for any questions and answers that you members with tents, can answer...

Also, if you have any pics of how your tent is set up, please post them...Pictures say a 1000 words...:thumbs:
Basically, as far as pics go, mostly looking for how yours is set up...Not so much about the plants...

So, currently setting up for my first grow. Just got some dinafem white widow auto seeds. Planning on doing one plant to start with. I have some smart pots and a pro-grow 180 LED on the way. I have a fairly large closet, maybe 12' by 6' (approximate). I have central air and heat. I'm also not too worried about stealth as I live on a 3 acre farm that I own, but it's fall right now, so too cold and not enough sun outside right now. I wasn't planning on purchasing a grow tent, as the closet is in the center of the house, so no windows, no outside light, and the temperature and humidty will be kept in check. Can I get some thoughts on this?

I think you're going to be disappointed with a space that large and only the one LED. If you only go the one plant, then you're golden.

does putting your exhaust fan connecting to ur cool tube hood outside the tent make it less effective than putting it actually in the tent closer to the light?please help :group:

well after reading through this thread, I guess I need to loosen my old tight arse up and get me a filter and inline fan. Even if I am only growing one girl at a time huh ? the tent 32x32x64 is going to be in a guest bedroom approx 15ft x 15ft with central heat and ac. also I have only purchased the http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001UV6P9I/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i00 again I am a old cheapo man. :crack: so I guess I need more lights as well huh ? again I will only grow one at a time until I learn the ropes. I would love to try that LST stuff on the one plant though.
fan/filter and more lights agree or am I ok for very first virgin grower. ?

OK I am getting there here is what I set up last night. I am trying to dial it in before my girls show up this week I HOPE I HOPE got a email from them saying they shipped from Nirvana on the 12-7-12.

I amgoing to have to get the temp down and humidity up ain't I. And will that be enough light for 1 girl at a time. I am a total noob that.s never grown anything. So all help is welcome. It is in my closet now because maw in law will be coming for holidays. After that I think I will move it to guest bedroom. better ventilation.

Want to setup a small tent and the best I could fit is a 16x16x47
I just want 1 auto and will be using 150 hps and 50w cfl
My main question is the tent large enough to fit a lg auto say think different or do I need a dwarf strain say lowryder 2?
Can a fan fit in with auto and what pot size?

ww - your fine with a 125w cfl, count your dry yield as a gram per watt for doing everything perfect. once fan n filter is in your temp will be ok where it is prolly. Possibly up to 4 ounce, aim for half that as a first grow and the fact that cfl is not as efficient as hps.

King j - you also need a fan and filter even with just 1 plant, you need it for airflow and to stop the smell from stinking out your street. You limit the size of the plant by putting in smaller pots and tieing down the branches so no problems.

ok I think I am going with this setup next week. I think I want to keep it under control and spacious so 1 plant at a time. Will be using a 150 hps with 50w cfl on side. Going with cheap inline fan for exhaust 150 cfm and will have 6inch fan on inside. Will be using 2 gal airpot.
I found what looks like a good deal on inline exhaust, as 1 plant and small tent i am thinking this will be fine.

If your legal to grow then that setup is fine, if its ilegal to grow spend a little extra and buy a carbon filter with a fan thats powerful enough to pull through the filter. that fan wouldn't be powerful enough.
