Tent Questions

Hi all...I didn't see anything specific on tent set ups and so forth...

So I'm going to sticky this thread for any questions and answers that you members with tents, can answer...

Also, if you have any pics of how your tent is set up, please post them...Pictures say a 1000 words...:thumbs:
Basically, as far as pics go, mostly looking for how yours is set up...Not so much about the plants...

Thanks for your cooperation and I hope this thread gets the attention that new tent buyers, like myself, can gain some info...:peace:

Ok I got my gl145 setup with a vortex 6" exhaust fan, phresh filter, phresh duct silencer and speed controller for the fan. So far I absolutely love the whole setup and it is very quiet and completely odor proof with 9 plants in it right now. My main concern is temps in the tent! Last night it dropped to 66 degrees as a low and 77 was the high but it struggled to get to 77 all day. I have only one led in there right now but the second should be here by Friday I hope but I am worried about the low temps not being ideal for photosynthesis. So my question is if I get a small thermostat controlled heater would it be better to heat the room the tent is in or actual put the heater in the tent?
I have my intake fan and a heater set on one of these and it is a life saver I have it set to run the inline fan when the temps hit 78 and it turns off at 77.. I also have a small space heater hooked to mine and if it gets to 70 that will kick in until it gets to 77.. Again those are my settings but this thing is awesome and the same company makes one for humidity to both lower and raise ...
Look at this on eBay:

I have a question about temperature, in my 3x3 tent grow the temp is staying right at 81 degrees F. Is this too warm or just right?

It's right on the upper part of the sweet spot.

Hello, and good morning to the all!
i need some help regarding the ventilation of my grow tent.
The diameters of all stuff i have are 5". So, i already have a 350 m3/h fan for exhausting and a new carbon filter (at 300 m3/h). The tent has to be ventilated running 10' to the wall and then two floors upwards, through out the chimney. The 350 m3/h of the fan with the filter attached are not sufficient. When the fan was working without the filter attach on it, it was creating just enough negative flow for passive intake. When i had to attach the carb filter, the pressure dropped significantly. If i add a small intake fan then the pressure becomes positive :/
And here is the dilemma
I have a second new carbon filter, also at 300 m3/h, and i was thinking how to use those two filters and only buy a 700 m3/h fan. Then connect it with the two carbon filters, using a 'Y' connector.

Which solution do you think is better?
-The two 300 m3/h filters in a 'Y' connection with a 700 m3/h exhaust fan?
2Filters->'Y' -> 700 m3/h Fan-> 8' ducting -> chimney->
or
-keep only one carbon filter and then get a second exhaust fan, also at 350 m3/h, and attach it in the end of the duct tube, where the chimney starts?
1Filter->1st 350 m3/h Fan-> 8' ducting ->2nd 350 m3/h Fan-> chimney->

Hi Gantsa, I think I understand what you're saying. It sounds like a very long way to run exhaust, so I think you just need a bigger fan. One filter should be enough for most grows I think. So you could just keep the extra filter as a backup for later. So if you get a bigger 600 or 700m3/h exhaust fan, because of the long distance it has to go, will have enough backpressure so it should be okay to use with a 300m3/h filter and be okay. You could also get a fan speed controller (Blueprint makes one, there's many companies that make them) and run the 700 fan at 1/2 or 3/4 speed. : ) That sounds like a good layout with all that.
