Tent Questions

Hi all...I didn't see anything specific on tent set ups and so forth...

So I'm going to sticky this thread for any questions and answers that you members with tents, can answer...

Also, if you have any pics of how your tent is set up, please post them...Pictures say a 1000 words...:thumbs:
Basically, as far as pics go, mostly looking for how yours is set up...Not so much about the plants...

Thanks for your cooperation and I hope this thread gets the attention that new tent buyers, like myself, can gain some info...

I got my tent and light from Mars Hydro, all is great, nice price and nice quality, the shipping time only took 3 days, so fast, lol

Do you plan on adding more lights to your tent? Jw bc I currenty have 2 of the same size tent and im running 4 400w cobs per tent and I think I could even use more light. I used to run 1 1000w led but didnt get the coverage I was looking for so I got more lower watt lights and that seems to be way better. How many plants you looking to grow in the space anything more than four just defeats the purpose I get the same overall yeild with 4 as I do with 5 or 6. When I tried to run one high powered light my plants stretched grew tall and thin. Now my plants hardly break 3 feet tall including pot. And my yeilds increased dramaticly alot fatter and more dence. You can also use cfl lights to supplement more coverage in a pinch.

i am going to start a grow with seeds from Mephisto genetics, i have done 6 grows in the past all with Mephisto gear, amazing genetics i must say! This run i want to use a fan and filter combo and use it inside a small room, i don't have a tent, i grow in a closet, so the idea is to use that just to scrub the air from the room. Does this sound like a good plan?
i only do 2-3 medium to large sized plants at a time, so i am wondering what size fan and filter should i use for this purpose? I would appreciate if you could show me some photos and tell me how exactly to connect the fan and filter combo. You could use a bathroom vent fan and put it in the closet low profile and easy to install and best yet made to be silent ive used them in the past but odor control is gonna be hard to control without a scrubber. I used to buy the carbon pre filters and spray deodorizer on it twice a day and it worked well for 2 or 3 plants. Plus some come with a thermostat hookup so you can control your temp and humidity. And if you ever needed to move the plants for some reason nobodys gonna give the vent a second look. Theres also many strains that have low odor for closet grows northern lights is a good one.

Plus make sure you get your cfm calculated right. I always add 50% more for good measure.

Just putting a charcoal filter can in the room with a fan will work to some extent. I have done it and still do when I am hanging plants in the room for drying. It does a good job of keeping the odor down. Not perfect and don't spray anything on it it will ruin the charcoal and your crop.

That was a long time ago lol ive upgraded. maybe a bit to much if you ask my old lady. And she has no clue what I really got invested. But gotta spend money to make money. U going coco or soil or hydro.

I got two diffrent ones I ran the vivosun cyclone type with speed adjuster and a ipower normal in line exhaust fan both are 440cfm the vortex fan is way quiter but also more money. You can also buy a booster fan if your space is small. Mine work great for my setup. But def. Buy one with a speed controler to maintain perfect temp and humidity. Heres my setup just joined the tents via pipe and works great.
