Hi all...I didn't see anything specific on tent set ups and so forth...

So I'm going to sticky this thread for any questions and answers that you members with tents, can answer...

Also, if you have any pics of how your tent is set up, please post them...Pictures say a 1000 words...:thumbs:
Basically, as far as pics go, mostly looking for how yours is set up...Not so much about the plants...

Thanks for your cooperation and I hope this thread gets the attention that new tent buyers, like myself, can gain some info...

Hi guys...cross posting this from the beginner's forum as I have not recieved much response there.

I am looking to setup a grow tent in a large, unfinished basement. It is a rental so at this point I am not considering cutting into any existing structures to vent and am planning on venting into the the large wide open basement. My major concern here is stealth. Do others have experience with this type of setup? Are you able to eliminate the smell?

I have identified most of the major components that I would like to purchase. I have tried to identify top quality components that will not only maximize stealth factor, but will last with me for several years.

Gorilla Grow Tent - 4x4
MarsHydro II 700w LED
Vortex 6" inline fan, 6" carbon filter, and 6" ducting
6" Horticontrol dust shroom
5 gallon fabric smart pots

I know that most members will consider the light underpowered for the tent. My concern right now is setting up a stealth tent that will produce some flowers, looking to augment or replace lights once i have a couple grows under my belt and know better what i want.

At this point I am mostly looking for feedback on what to expect from the ventilation system as I have imagined it. Basically the dust shroom covering the intake portal for a passive air intake, with the carbon filter attched directly to the fan inside the roof of the tent and venting out the tent through the ducting. Anyone have a better way to set this up?

Also not entirely sure how the dust shroom works. Does it just sit by itself in the intake portal, or do you attach a short stretch of ducting to it throught the portal?

Any advise on setting up is much appreciated.

Never heard of a dust shroom but the rest should do the job nicely ... nice tent ...

Its basically a reusable particle filter for the intake.

It being an unfinished basement I dont really want it sucking up the ton of dust that is laying around down there.

Have you vented out into an open room like this?

I don't worry about the smell ... I think it makes the place smell like a florist shop ... same effect that a couple little air fresheners would add to the air ... good idea using the shroom ...

This is my set up i have 2 blueberry kush from nirvana shop in a 2'x2'x4' tent i purchased off ebay for get this 45 bucks its not the best quality but it definitely gets the job done and pretty much you get what you pay for woth that said i yhink there doing great on the left she is 3 weeks old from sprout. On the right 2 weeks from sprout under a mars hydro 300 led only really about 145 watts the reason you see the cfls 4 - 40 watt to give me a total of 305 watts which i think is enough for these pretty ladys they sit in 3 gal pots with fox farm happy frog soil just started her nutes today f.f grow big and plan to give them f.f tigerbloom when time i have an exhaust fan 6" inline duct fan from menards 25 bucks something like 200 cfm i dont have an intake yet but proly be getting one soon same kind but proly get a 4" for now i have the side vent flaps open over i think there doing pretty well

I assume this thread is for q&a about tents right? Sorry if not...

Would a 200W cooltubed HPS rig be OK in a 40x60x120cm tent with a charcoal filter?

Can airflow to be achieved through the filter to the cooltube? My silentub 100 draws from the filter ok with a led rig in this tent, but im not sure if the cooltube needs better airflow.

I have experience running a hooded 400W without a filter in a 60x60 tent... but the airflow is a lot better there.

Hey guys, I'm new to the world of indoor growing and mainly do guerrilla grows. I'm looking to set up a tent / room that will fit up to 10 plants (Small plants, I mainly grow autos) I've chosen out my tent and lights I just need to figure out what ducting and exhaust I need if anyone could help me out that would be greatly appreciated
